Nice hotel that will not burn a hole in your pocket. Rooms are spacious. Staff is very cooperative. Mr Dinesh Chetri and his team at the hotel will serve you well. Food is good. Expect 15-20 minutes to get your order delivered.

This is one of the best hotels in Sikkim which provides a stunning view from its rooms (executive).

This place is about 3km away from MG market and at the entry of main city of Gangtok.

For an executive room they charge 2800-3000 ra, but it's worth every penny to stay here.
Rooms are large enough to accommodate 3persons, staffs are so polite and responsible that you'll love the stat here.

Cabs and cars are always available in front of the hotel.

Rooms were good and spacious, stayed in a premium suite, with valley view, comparing the price it justifies the value, not too luxurious, but above average, food taste was ok, it's restaurant is pure veg , parking space is available and it's besides the main road, bit of maintenance is required, overall a pleasant stay experience.

This is a nice hotel located at a prime location. We stayed in the hotel twice. First time for 3 nights and then went to North Sikkim and came back to stay for one night. We booked a Premium Mountain view room. The room was spacious, clean, equipped with all basic amenities. The view from the room was excellent. You can see the mountains and also the NH 10 which runs in front of the hotel. Staff behaviour was decent, but room service was a bit slow. The restaurant provides tasty food but it is a veg restaurant. MG mark is about 2.5 kms away. In a shared cab you have to pay Rs. 20 and if you hire a cab they charge Rs 150 during day time and Rs. 200 at night.

The location is very convenient if you're planning for Gangtok local tour as it is very near to local taxi stand. The rooms are large enough and cosy. Check-in and check-out services are very quick and professional. The hotel serves only vegetarian food. You can have a great breakfast at the buffet hall. You can also have room service but the dishes are a bit pricey. Please pay attention while booking online because prices vary a lot between sites.

Very nice place to stay with your friends and family. We were in Sikkim for the first time and the hotel manger and other employees helped us a lot for sightseeing and other tourist activities. Since we liked their service including food, we booked again. This is the best stay in Gangtok.😊 (added the window view)

Had a comfortable 4 night stay here.
Good location, east to get a city taxi, nice and spacious room, friendly staff. Breakfast was good with variety on all 4 days we stayed.
Wifi was working most of time for us unlike other reviews..

Only cons was the dinner menu was limited and we got bored after 3rd night.

Great Ambience. Spacious ,clean rooms. Great Food. Service with Smile Great staff. Off all the Hotels in Gangtok, this one is nicely located to Mall Road, a Perfect place to shop.Also well connected on Main Road itself. Kitchen staff super cool and with smiling face.

The hotel Golden crest is a 5 storey hotel with executive and premium rooms facing the mountains and standard rooms with no view.
We stayed in both executive and standard rooms. Photos shared for reference.
The hotel also has a parking facility which is very much required or else one has to carry one’s luggage from the nearest drop point which will be 150-200 mtrs.
Hotel is situated 2kms from MG road. One can reserve or share a taxi from the nearest pickup point to reach there. Taxis r not allowed to stop anywhere apart from the designated pickup and drop points. On return you will have to do the same from the MG road taxi stand just below the foot bridge. Walking to MG road for a family is not an option as it is a 2km uphill.
The hotel has a veg restaurant on the 2nd floor and takes the last order by 9:30pm.
There is a smoking zone on each floor.
Sightseeing - 1. Ten points local sightseeing- some of the points worth visiting and there is definitely something for all ages. Car leaves normally by 9:30am and returns by 3pm. Hotel can arrange cabs.

Stayed there for 3 days in March. The rooms are great. Mattress was very comfortable. The staff were courteous and helpful. The food is very good. Tried a lot of different options from the menu and all of them tasted good. They charge extra for the room heater and it is allowed only at night but the price is decent. Had a great stay here

if you want to get the best service at a cheap rate go for it. every single person is to gentle. i enjoyed staying here... and if you want to book cars for sikkim tour. you can! they provide the best driver... This is my favourite 😊

Staffs are very good, and very helpful..
Rooms are big and very clean, Try taking the front side room to get a view..
Breakfast has less options but then it is tasty enough to fill your stomach..

Beautiful rooms, humble staff, good service. This hotel is not exactly on MG road, some 3 kms before that. But shared cabs are easily available. The restaurant staff is also nice. They'll give genuine recommendations on your taste. The staff is cooperative in answering queries also. They'll guide you on local site seeing very patiently.
All in all, worth every penny!

Value for money hotel. Stay was very good.
The room was large and the balcony view was the best part of all. Opening towards the road from 5th floor.
Staff were polite and friendly.
We ordered food at night and every thing was tasting good. Complimentary breakfast was good and enough to fill us till snacks.

A great place to stay in Gangtok. Tariff is genuine, rooms are bigger, management & staff is fine. This is a pure vegetarian hotel so plan accordingly. We tried multiple hotels like regal, summit abode, jagjeet etc but found this one much better.

Staying in Sikkim was an excellent experience. From locals out there to the hotel staff of Golden Crest are humble and make your trip safe and comfortable.

This property is located at Amdo Golai, main road going towards MG Marg (3Kms). You can easily get a local taxi for MG Marg or any place in Gangtok from downstairs. Taxis run on sharing basis and charge only Rs. 25/ person.

View from the hotel is excellent (do select an Executive room only) but not the case with Standard rooms. It has a small restaurant serving simple but yummy Breakfast. None of the items were repeated during our 3 days stay at the hotel. Rooms are good and decent in size. There are only 5 rooms having AC but you really don't feel the need of it.

Staff is also very courteous. Especially mentioning Peter. He was on night duty and used to act promptly on every request.

This beautiful property is located on the main road, a few metres before the Deorali taxi stand. I visited right after the lockdown was lifted up so the place was not up and running, like the rest of Gangtok. Yet they tried everything to make my stay a comfortable one, and they succeeded. The staff waa available on call, the room was absolutely clean and all basic amenities present. The front view room indeed had an amazing view and my stay was absolutely hassle free. The hotel is value for money. Its a bustling place full of good energy on its regular functioning days.
The owner is warm and very helpful. Hope you're up for some good conversations and good views, because this hotel offers all that and more!

We had a couple of days stay which we extended to more 2 days,making it total of 4 days stay here. The hotel is just too good. The price which was offered to us was unbelievably good. They have a breakfast buffet which gives a great start to the day. The only con about this place is that it's away from MG Road, rest, I'll highly recommend this place to anyone.

This lovely hotel is a traveller's paradise, whether you are planning to stay for a day or a week like we did . The rooms are beyond super spacious and beautiful, the whole hotel is very clean and they ensure to maintain it . Complimentary breakfast is filling and a good start for the day. The service staff is absolutely amazing, I would like to thank Karma, Praveen, Dinesh & the other staff for hosting us so well. The MG road market is a couple of kms away but it's easily accessible by shared cab / cab if you do not have a vehicle. Overall an unforgettable experience
