I spent 3-4 hours here just sitting and enjoying the nature around me but you don’t need much more than 30-45 minutes. Beautiful surroundings and you can also spot little monkeys playing around. Can’t wait to visit again. 🌟

When exploring Athirapally Waterfalls, consider adding it to your itinerary, as the same ticket grants access to Vazhachal Waterfalls. Parking facilities are available. Enjoy the breathtaking view of Step Falls during high water levels, complemented by beautiful gardens and picnic spots—ideal for quality time with family and friends. Exercise caution around monkeys, known for their food-snatching tendencies, while relishing this picturesque experience

This another near spot of athirapilly waterfalls.your no need to pay extra money for this ,both waterfalls including in one ticket. Here not big waterfalls but there good mood also wating for you.natural sounds water birds etc..These diminutive cascades weave seamlessly into their surroundings, creating miniature landscapes of moss-covered rocks and fern-lined pools. Their subtle elegance invites close observation, revealing intricate details often overlooked in larger waterfalls. The small scale also allows for a more personal connection, as visitors can often get closer to the cascading water and feel its refreshing mist. Exploring small waterfalls offers a delightful balance between nature's beauty and the charm of hidden gems, making them a perfect escape for those seeking solace in the midst of quieter natural wonders.waterfalls possess a charming intimacy that sets them apart. Though lacking the grand scale of their larger counterparts, these cascades often exhibit delicate beauty and tranquility. The gentle murmur of water creates a soothing atmosphere, making small waterfalls ideal spots for quiet contemplation or a peaceful retreat. Their accessibility, tucked away in serene corners of nature, adds to their allure, offering a delightful escape without the need for extensive hikes. Small waterfalls may lack the sheer power of giants, but they compensate with an enchanting simplicity that resonates with the essence of natural serenity.bathing not allowed here plase not it

Very scenic place, Try to visit on a mild rainy season... Not a steep waterfall... The panoramic view of the forest and the waterfall makes you feel better.

Due to orange alert, we were not allowed to get into the water. The falls is a wide but small running of water over a wide rock bed. Very refreshing and cool. There is a small water stream after the public washroom where you can get into the water.

Let me say for the first time, those who go to see Athirapilli falls will not have the feeling that going there is a waste of time. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. And if you have a feeling that you have seen the Niagrah Watter Fall in India, isn't it a big deal? You have to go there without much effort and come back. If so, I guarantee that those who travel there will be happy

Witness the beauty of this cascading waterfall during the monsoon, when it is in all its glory. It's located in the Vazhachal forest division of Kerala.
On the way from Valaparai to Athirapalli, this is the first major waterfall you will encounter. An entry ticket is a must to enter the waterfall. The same ticket can be used to enter Athirapalli waterfall too. So, please retain the ticket if you wish to visit both.
The path leading to the falls is neatly laid and the surrounding is clean. While the entry into the water is restricted, you can admire the beauty of the falls when walking on the pathway along the path of the falls. There's a refreshment stall located inside to help with your snacking needs.

Vazhachal and athirapilly share the same entrance ticket. Do not miss this beautiful waterfall along with the wall that you get to take alongside it.
The place is so quaint and calm and does not see the same crowd as Athirapilly falls.
It's really quiet and peaceful inside and I highly recommend you take your time here and walk for a while

A 5 mins walk from the entrance wilk bring you to this falls. You have a large area to cover to see the falls from all directions. The maintenance is good. Located near the check post. Little crunched parking space.

Vazhachal Waterfalls is a breathtaking natural wonder located in Kerala, India, and I had the pleasure of visiting it recently. This cascading beauty nestled within the lush Sholayar forest is a sight to behold.

The first thing that struck me was the pristine surroundings. The dense greenery and the sounds of the forest create an immersive experience that transports you to a different world. The waterfalls themselves are impressive, with a powerful flow that creates a mesmerizing spectacle. The sight and sound of the water crashing down into the pool below is truly captivating.

Visiting during the monsoon season was a great decision, as the waterfalls were at their fullest, showcasing nature's raw power. The mist rising from the waterfall added to the mystique of the place. Be prepared to get wet, as the spray from the falls reaches quite a distance.

The area around Vazhachal Waterfalls is well-maintained, with designated viewing areas and walking paths. It's an excellent spot for nature enthusiasts, photographers, and families. The local guides are knowledgeable and can provide insights into the flora and fauna of the region.

One highlight of my visit was the opportunity to see several species of colorful butterflies and various birds in the vicinity, making it a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts as well.

While there are a few small shops and stalls selling refreshments and souvenirs, it's advisable to carry your own snacks and water as options can be limited.

In conclusion, Vazhachal Waterfalls is a natural gem that offers a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Its pristine beauty, combined with the surrounding forest, creates a serene and rejuvenating atmosphere. It's a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Kerala, and I highly recommend experiencing this marvel of nature firsthand.

The serene view of the cascading water was truly mesmerizing. The highlight for me was the long walking track that runs alongside the waterfall, allowing me to immerse in nature's beauty while taking in the breathtaking views. It's a perfect place to unwind and connect with the tranquil surroundings. I highly recommend a visit to this gem of a location!

Found this place better than Athirapilly Falls. Also not as crowded.

However, I don't know if you could call these "falls", more like rapids.

Vazhachal water fall area is accessible with the same ticket taken at Athirapilly.
It's a beautiful, calm and neat area to hangout with family. The place also has a small kids park.

It’s a great place, beautiful waterfalls even better in the monsoon. It would be scary during that time as the amount of water it carry’s is humongous. This was in peak summer, mid April, still had lot of water. It’s almost 5km far from athirappally waterfalls, it’s a good spot. The tickets are very reasonable and tickets in either vaazhachal or athirappally, 1 ticket can permit you to both the locations. This is comparatively small as the trails and area this park cover is very less compared to athirappally. A great place to visit, kept very neat and clean. Ample car parking also available.

Different waterfall but a good one! Not crowded as such like other ones in Thrissur. The only thing about Waterfalls is you can just see them and click pictures and what else you can do!

The route to reach Vazhachal is very narrow so we faced a lot of traffic and it took us almost 1.5hrs to reach from Athirapalli to Vazhachal which is hardly 15kms.
