Excellent water fall. During August month it looks like a mini Niagara. Trekking is very challenging towards the water fall. It’s paved, yet not for the feeble. Rs 200 for entry.

Great mesmerising nature. Huge large waterfalls that everyone can feel and enjoy. Views are mind blowing and relaxing. One has to climb down the hill togo near by waterfalls. It would be really hard for many to climb up again. But once you reach there you would forget everything and dwell into falls. Take care of elderly people as they cannot climb up. Do not take any short cuts while climbing up as it takes lots of your energy. While back just don't look at ground and climb down not look at how much to climb. It would be easy.

It's one of the natural wonders ,that can be easily accessible from chalakudi , road infrastructure is pretty good .
Pov:better be in your motorcycle ,so you can enjoy both the view and ride
Late night rides are not recommended because of the wild animals

Great place, crowded but peaceful if you go Little away from the crowd. You can go into water but only up to a certain extent. The view from the bottom is great.

The waterfall in Kerala stands as one of the largest in the region. From my perspective, the monsoon season is the ideal time to visit, although consulting locals for water level updates beforehand is advisable. A nominal entry fee applies for both self-car parking and camera usage. Access to the bottom requires a walk, although an outside view is an alternative. The grandeur of the waterfall truly shines when water levels are high; otherwise, it may feel crowded. Nearby, shops and eateries offer convenience, and additional falls in the vicinity cater to those interested in exploring further

One of my dream place in India. It’s mesmerising. From the entry with vehicle fee you have to pay and park the car beside the road as there is no particular parking. And take the entry ticket again for falls entry. From there it’s just 10-15 walkable distance for top view. Carry water bottle along with you and return the empty bottle in entry as they will give you 10 rupee refund. Enjoy the top view for a while and start trek to the down. If you are aged or handicap or having breathing issue do not take risk and stay in the upside as we need to walk inside the forest around 30 mins in mud. As it’s a orange alert when we enter, they don’t allow us to go near to the water fall. If you visit after February, you can play in the water due to water flow will be less. If you want to see the water flow then best time to visit is from June to December.
You will be lost for a while in nature for sure.

One of the best waterfalls in kerala. I have visited the place so many times and i love it. Must place to visit with family and friends, surely gonna enjoy the ride as well as waterfall❤
If you are carrying water bottles with you be careful, monkeys are so funny they try to snatch bottles and drink from it(from my own experience).

Must see waterfall in India. The view is amazing from the top of the falls. And you can see the waterfall from below also. One of the popular tourist spots in Kerala. I visited this place while it was raining. The water flow is very high. You have to pay 50rs per person. You can also enjoy the journey to the waterfall. Riding through the forest is the best way to feel nature. To enjoy the full waterfall visit this place when it is not raining.

Absolutely breathtaking! Athirappilly Falls is a must-visit destination in Kerala. The sheer power and beauty of the cascading water amidst the lush greenery is truly mesmerizing. It’s a photographer’s paradise and a nature lover’s dream come true. However, I couldn’t help but notice the ongoing debate about its environmental impact. While it’s important to preserve this natural wonder, I hope sustainable measures are implemented to ensure its long-term conservation. Overall, a remarkable experience that’s worth every moment spent soaking in the awe-inspiring beauty of Athirappilly Falls.

Athirapally (Athirappilly) Waterfalls is a beautiful spectacle of nature in the midst of a natural forest and the scenic beauty of this place to wish for. The water is so pure and clean that you can see through the other side of it.
There are two points of entry and viewing the Waterfall at this same location.
1. From above (a little far from the water)
2. Beside the river (closer to the water)

This is one of the locations where Bahubali film was shot. Although it isn’t exactly as shown in the film, it gives out a very similar vibe of it and jolts your memory.

Come with your good shoes as there are considerable amount of steps to reach the sight here. Steps are also not well made, so could be slippery.

The height of the waterfall is not huge compared to few other falls in India and you can’t enter the water body also here.

There is ample parking on the sides of the road and also just below the entry.

An awesome experience. It is the biggest falls I have ever seen. We could go near the falls. Entering the water is prohibited, since it is very dangerous. Many people have lost their lives there.

Athirapally Falls is a big, beautiful waterfall situated with the green forest. It's majestic and pretty. Easy to reach and take care of. If you like the scenery of nature with majestic waterfalls, you should definitely visit.

The best time to visit is from morning 8 am, so there will be less crowds and you can take a bath in the top view of the waterfalls.

The ticket is about 50rs for both athrirapally and vazhachal waterfalls. And additional charges for bikes and cars.

Truely a bahubali waterfall. Hire a cab from ernakulam for a day trip. It's Truely a bliss and very beautiful waterfall. Don't miss top as well front view of the waterfall.

For downside view one has to go on trail and hiking to reach there. It is very good experience and view is worth 👌🏻.

Well maintained and guards were there to protect us from entering into dangerous sites. Try to be there during evening time, otherwise the blistering sun will make you tired. Try not to avoid the downward portion of the waterfall, you can see the complete beauty of this waterfall from that position. Take care of small children, some rocks can hurt them.
