We are buying in big departmental stores and hypermalls without bargain the price even if it's high.

But these people are selling for the livelihoods. So please support them by buying from them and please don't bargain. They won't sell with high profit margins. Just very little profit for their livelihood.

It's definitely be the right place for purchasing especially like the things country medicines, farm equipments, and in this place natrajan shop is great. They are providing good quality things in an affordable price. The ayangaran snacks centre and the near place fish market. Govt., Fisheries department also located. The coconuts and vegetables are being at low cost.

On of the best place to do shopping of all home needs including cooking vessels,rice,spices and meat.
Right now this place is under construction.so some of the store owners moved near by bylanes.
Parking of two wheeler no problem but Parking of cars bit difficulty here.
Just walkable distance from Thanjavur old bus stand.

எல்லாமே கிடைக்கும், நல்லாவே கிடைக்கும் moment. Just walk in (of course, with your Masks ON) and you can find almost everything you need, at your grab... Price is very nominal in the town, and most of the products are fresh... Happy shopping.

It's the biggest main fish market of Thanjavur. All kinds of sea foods are available here. Variety of alive fishes, crab, shrimp are placed. Better visit in early morning to get nice stuffs.

Available multiple household items in the area. Specially for plenty of pathirakadai around the area of keelavasal.

Most popular place of grocery store here cheap and best price.

And also near by "Vellai pillayar temple" here.

Negative:
Usually this area is tiny croud of vehicles two wheeler and heavy trucks. Specially peek time is 6pm to 9pm every day.

Public toilet is not here. (I'm not sure).

Keezha Vaasal (East Gate) area in Thanjavur is an interesting area. There is an old municipal market with vegetable, meat, grocery, fruit shops. Vessel shops line the street. Items for cattle rearing also. Love it.
