According to Folklore, The beach was used as a burial ground for Hindus and because of the remains of the people supposedly buried here, it is said to result in black sand.

It's prime location in Surat and must visit place too. Every morning people comes here for walk and for food too. There are plenty of different types of rides for people. If your visit Surat must go with your friends, your family and your loved ones.

It was a amazing and magical experience... I visited this place in holiday.....so many people around me to visit this wonderful place...I am reached their own vehicle so it's easy but the City bus also available to the Surat City.... The small fastival like atmosphere over their....the small temple ' dariyai Ganesh ji temple ' over their....the camels ride , horse riding also available....so many food stall like Maggie, boiled corn and fast food shop also available... I visited in evening sunset time so I can't explain the nature in one word... I suggest please visit Monday to Friday . This beach is 14 km far away to SVNIT college... And also I advise please wearing shoes bcos so many rocks over their.. personally my experience was too good...must visit to this place....

You can enjoy there with your family, friends, kids.... You'll get food options like maggie, sweet corn bhel, bhajiya, Another thing it's crowded during weekends and beach is quite clean

it's nice place and it's view more amazing during morning (sunrise) and evening (sunset). If you are planning to go there then make sure to go with your private vehicle or by taxi for return also. And if you planning to go by surat bus services then it will drop you around 1 km or 1 and half km before the beach. And the rides of animals or monster car etc. which offers at beach try to negotiate with them . They charge much more for a very short distance.

Good place but not good people thay makes beach dirty

It's a great place to spend some peaceful time but some people prefer not to stay at night here because it's considered to be haunted as it was once used as a Hindu Cremation site according to old sayings. But it's a great being here in the morning & Eve for a great view of sun rising/setting.

The place offers excellent view of beach with food service and activities available on the space.
You can enjoy at morning time and evening time with sunrise and sunset view.
