Blessed to have the opportunity to visit Banares/Kashi the world's oldest city and also stay at our Kashi math. This math is approx 500+ yrs old and is a HQ for Kashi Math Samasthan of GSB's.

Situated in the bylanes gullys near Kaal Bhairav mandir and Brahma Ghat. I was in awe of the city and also Kashi Math buildinga heritage.

One of my most loved retreats, this beautiful mutt is on the banks of the Ganga at Brahma Ghat. It is the main or original mutt of Shri Kashi Math Samsthan which has followers from the Gaud Saraswat Brahmins community of South India. It has a history of over 600 years and the aura here is pure bliss. It houses several important shrines including that of Bindu Madhav and Lakshmi Narasimha. The manager of this mutt is very sincere and friendly. Clean, tasty food is served thrice a day. Bathing in the Ganga is easier if one stays at this mutt.

Wonderful place to stay on the banks of ganga, brahma ghat, one can stay here and take a bath in ganges during stay also can do spiritual activitys, or pitra sharddha, the matt officials will arrange for tht on request, there are temple inside the building dedicated to Nrashimha, bindumahav and navaneeth krishnsa the rates for stay is very minimal and thy also provide vegitarian breakfast, lunch and dinner for yatris,

Had a tough time to reach Kashi Math, you have to get down at Kalbhairav Chowk and walk down the gully which mentions way to Kalbhairav Temple, you have to walk for 15 to 20 min. It took us 40 min as we lost our way. Keep asking locals in between, you can also mention Bramha Ghat as Kashi Math is situated on that ghat. Had an excellent stay with family on 9 and 10 Nov 2018. Suresh Pai is a very resourceful person, he planned out our tour iteneary. Sudhir Bhat is also a very jolly person who mixes along and makes devotees feel very comfortable. Ramkrishna Shenoy is the person who has magic in his hands, what ever he cooked it tasted excellent. Please keep up the good work.

One of the most hospitable staff and very homely atmosphere. We were treated so sweetly and very very helpful manager Mr. Suresh Pai. He went out of the way to make us comfortable. Though the rooms and bathrooms are not attached and are old charm ... It's neat . Good is delicious and unlimited. Special boat for Kashi Muth guests ..🙏👍👏 it was a best memorable stay in the most sacred Varanasi (Kashi).

A very old and headquarters math of Shri Kashi math, Varanasi. A math of historical importance. Shortly renovations works being started adding extra residence facilities for pilgrims.

Religious and beautiful place and ancient Mutt premises very well maintained. Be visit and have blessings of Brahmesh and Sri Laxmi Narasimha and vrindavan of Srimath Upendra Thirtha Swamiji.

I feel fortunate to have visited the very ghat where adi shankaracharyaji is said to have stayed. The mutt premises house three temples dedicated to shri bindu madhav, laxmi narasimha and sri krishna. And also vrindavans of kashi mutt swamijis. Food and stay are available with prior intimation to the mutt authorities. The place has basic amenities and meant for stay during religious pilgrimage visit.

Beautiful, historical, peaceful and mainly devotional place

My husband & I stayed here for 2 days in a February(our second visit). The place is serene and blissful. One can just sit on the Brahma ghat or inside the math and meditate for hours if one chooses to.
The manager Mr Suresh and caretaker Mr Madhav are very caring and helpful. They will assist with taxi/boat booking too so that our stay was seamless. The GSB style cooked food too was great 👍
We would really recommend People to stay here and enhance their Kashi experience.
You can reach here by road( then walk through lanes) or directly by boat from Rajghat.

Ancient, Historical mutt at Brahma ghat Varanasi.Neat rooms, clean bath rooms, toilets available in ground as well as first floor.
Good for groups visiting varanasi. They also provide dormitory accommodation. Few air conditioned rooms are also available.
Food is good, saatvik, as Good as home prepared. Service excellent.
Mutt Manager Sri. Suresh pai is very helpful and knowledgeable. Kitchen incharge Sri. Madhav ji is very humble and takes good care of the visitors. His choice of foods are simply superb.
Above all it was a nice stay for 7 full days memorable and cherishable always. 👌

Very nice place to stay when you are at Varanasi (Kashi), though the approach to the Math may be a little inconvenient to the senior citizens. Very helpful and cooperative staff, especially Shri Suresh Pai, Manager. They organise all the sevas on your behalf. So you are not at the mercy of the local Pandas. You can also organise visits to the local Temples and sightseeing through The Manager at a very reasonable cost

I was fortunate to visit the Matt on the 1st March this year. I stayed in the Matt premises for two nights. I found the staff and Manager Sri. Satish Pai very helpful and hospitable. Sri Pai was very helpful in providing useful information and guidance in various matters ,be it arranging for transportation or sight seeing. I found him busy with the day to day matters pertaining to the Matt. However, he was ready to provide helping hand to the needy , like me all the times. The rooms are kept neat and clean. The food provided to us was very good and I appreciate the fact that lot of efforts go in to it . The poojas offered in the temples was also in accordance with the tradition. I wish Sri. Pai and other staff members, the very best God bless them all.Finally ,I will be failing in myduties, if I donot mention the efforts of Kashi Matt Saunstan in providing such facilities to the pilgrims.

Located in Bhrama ghat . Little difficult to locate as one has to walk around 500mtr from main road.With gps it is possible to locate or one has to take cycle rickshaw to carry luggage . Mutt staff are really helpful . Room is good and food also served . Overall stay and other assistance received is very good

I and my wife were at the matt for two days on 1st and 2nd march 2020. The atmosphere was screne and we enjoyed the days very much, especially the spiritual activities. We are thankful for the rare, gesture and goodwill shown by the manager Sri. Suresh pai . The konkani food was also very tasteful. Thanks for the service's of sri.madhav bhatt also.

My stay in Kashi math varanasi was pleasant. The Manager maam Suresh pai was very helpful. He helped us lot in arrangement of Kashi sightseeing arrangement of panditj in Gaya etc . Devine atmosphere. Like to stay again.
Only difficulty i felt is the road or way to reach the Devine math.
I request all our GSB bhandhavs to stay in Kashi math only so as to help our samsthan betterment.
