Great museum with a splendid food court inside to chill with friends & family

This museum located at the corner of Lamhi (Badalalpur), Varanasi. There are various galleries showcasing wooden artifacts, embroidery, jewelry, handicrafts and handloom textiles etc. This museum is an ideal place for families as well as school children. Had admired the different types of handicrafts and observed the Craftsmen creating the beautiful handicrafts .It is a must visit place and should not be missed when in Varanasi.

Excellent place if you are an art lover. Parking is available. Many hand made items are, you can choose from them. Their is a good court where you can get whatever you wish to eat at a reasonable price. Please do visit the art museum. It's actually the best at that place. If you are lucky you will also get to see some cultural events going on.

One of the most beautiful modern architecture in Varanasi. Worth visiting it once! There are handicrafts shops inside and a cafeteria! Apparently, it also has guest house which one can book (read it on the internet but I'm not sure).

It's on the outskirts of Varanasi, in Bada Lalpur area. You should reach Bhojuveer and from there you may get a direct auto to the Sankul.

While you're visiting this place, also visit Munshi Premchand's memorial nearby, in Lamhi. It's his ancestral village.

It's has banarasi saaree collection which is amazing .
Kaaleen ( handmade carpets) which are famous from mirzapur are also at display.
This place hoste a light show daily which takes you back in time, and tells you about the history of banaras and near by areas.
Light is a must watch event here.

Its a great place to visit , however do check for the shops to open before hand so that you could actually buy something from here....the timing on internet is from 9 however it opens at 11:30 am. Overall a 5star experience

Trade facilitation center and museum ,and hasthkala sankul both are inside same campus.It comes directly under ministry of textiles.It is situated in bada lalpur, about 4km to Bhojubeer.This is really good place and have beautiful infrastructure.One big auditorium,food court,shops,neat and clean washroom ,escalator and big open arena.The campus is almost air conditioned.

Want to know about the beauty and the ancient history of Varanasi, this place has an excellent display for most of such things. The architecture and beautiful paintings are surreal. Good place to hangout with friends and for shopping of handicraft.

Located far from Varanasi town. Architecture of building is too good. Very nice and clean natural environment.

It is an amazing place which tells us about the culture of ancient varanasi and near by places like Mirzapur. After visiting this place I knew about many type of new things about our culture. It has also one floor on which blind can touch and sense the specially prepared painting using dots (braille).
In short it is awesome..

One stop destination for all handicrafts materials like Saree and dress materials, wood materials, carpets etc. Most of the time expo is organised where customers can buy their favorite dress materials for both men and women. Museum is also there which showcase the beauty of handicrafts materials. Most of the power supply is through solar energy(pic. attached).Entry here is free but they charge for basement parking(it's obvious). Recommended.

the Trade Facilitation Centre would help the artisans and weavers showcase their skills to the world, and facilitate a brighter future for them & will attract tourists to visit this portion of city which remain neglected, and would result in increased demand of handicrafts, and also boost the tourism potential of Varanasi, and indeed the economy of the city.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Deendayal Hastkala Sankul, a trade facilitation centre and Crafts Museum for handicrafts at Varanasi.The centre and Crafts Museum was proposed by Union Finance Minister in his 2014-15 Budget speech to develop and promote handlooms, handicrafts and silk Products

The centre will facilitate weavers/artisans/exporters in promotion of handlooms and handicrafts in both domestic and international markets.
