Ukhimath Omkareshwar Temple

Must participate in the morning arti at 6AM, it's. In the winter shree kedarnath's pooja has been helf here and doli of kedarnath is being kept here until kedarnath temple is closed.

My recent visit to Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath was a spiritually enriching experience. The divine aura, awe-inspiring architecture, and breathtaking Himalayan backdrop create a serene haven. The temple's cleanliness, devotional atmosphere, and sense of community left me with deep peace. A heartfelt thanks to the caretakers for preserving this sacred gem. Highly recommended for a meaningful spiritual retreat.

Omkareshwar temple laid down by great teacher Adi Sankaracharya. In winters, this is is home of kedarnath, madhyamaheswar idols along with omkareshwar. Will be lucky to visit in winters and see three gods at same place. Souvenir and few eating places outside, on mandir approach road.

A sacred place where two of the five Kedara is situated for the time being when the Darshan is closed. A heartfelt thanks to the caretakers for preserving this sacred gem. Highly recommended for a meaningful spiritual retreat.

Winter abode of holy kedarnath mahadev. It's a powerful temple in its own right. Ukhimath being least crowded among the chardham belt cities it is the best place to rest and rejuvenate.

Om namah shivay.great experience.we went in December end it was not crowded at this time.we did darshan peacefully.if you can't visit kedarnath temple than this is the place where you can seek the blessings of lord Shiva .there are no charges for visiting this temple .no advance booking is required.beware of monkeys outside the temple as they can snatch prasad from your hands.

The place is just divine, old hindu architecture design temple with perfect for people who don't like too much crowd , for the darshan of deities you get ample time you can silently contemplate the face of onkareshwar on its shivling and the Brahmin priest explained us the deities and their stories in short and simple way. The adjoining Muth is also a place of high significance as it is the place of residence for kedarnath during winters you can see the seat of the deity up close guided by the caretaker priest there also it has the wedding place of Shri Krishna's grandson Aniruddha and daughter of Banasur Usha which is the namesake of the Muth ,not too much to talk about it but it is there to see.
This was an off-season visit, could be different during the season.

The religious importance of Omkareshwar finds mention in the Skanda Purana, the Shiv Purana, and the Vayu Purana. It is believed that whoever worships Omkareshwar with an unshakeable faith in Mahadev will attain respite from all the evils present on earth.

Winter abode of Kedarnath Ji, Tungnath Ji and Madmaheswar Ji! The morning and evening prayer fills the valley with divine ambience. With the mighty Kedar peak in the horizon, the surroundings are sure to fill the heart of a beholder with peace!

In Winter Kedarnath ji and Madhyamahewar ji bought in this temple to continue worship after winter they will shift in the orignal temples.

I didn't know the importance of this place until I went there.. Worship is performed at the Omkareshwar Temple here during winters, when the temple of Kedarnath remains closed. I think for almost 6 months

Omkareshwar Temple or Omkareshwar Pith is an ancient Hindu temple in Ukhimath, in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. Moreover, it’s home to Kedarnath and Madhmaheshwar deities during peak winters.

This is the place of marriage and residence of the grandson of Lord Shri Krishna. Also, Lord Kedarnath resides in this place for six months.

Ukhimath. Ushamath is its first name. It is the place where Usha and Aniruddha met and it was the capital of Banasura, the son of Mahabali Chakravarthi. Omkareshwar temple, Wedding place, Usha, Aniruddha, Chithralekha, Varahi and Chandika (these deities are in a room) are important to be seen here. Kedarnath to Badrinath via ukhimath is nice route.

2) This is where Lord Krishna's Grandson Aniruddha Married Lord Banasur's Daughter Usha .
3) The remains of Pandava's Astras are kept here.
4) Usha devi 's mandir is a pure bliss.
5) feel the energy within these said to be 5000 year old walls. The sculpture and structure.

Such a peaceful and nice place to visit with stunning surroundings! Just worth a visit that for sure!
