Nice place to visit during days other than summer. In summers you can visit in early morning and evening. Temples of Lord Mahadev, Vishnu, Kartik and other gods are created by Peshwas. Peshwa musiem is also must visit place because it shows history of Maharashtra and Pune City . Entire view of Pune City is visible from here. Very calm and Beautiful place. Loved to visit here.

One of the most scenic places in Pune!

The temple itself is over 250 years old built by the Peshwas. The temple & the hill has got free hand from nature.
Little over 100 steps to climb & you will reach the hill top. There is also a museum you can visit. The garden here was under construction, the place will be even more beautiful once this is compete.

Do visit by evening to experience a breathtaking view of the Sunset.

Liked it... it was like Climbing 10 to 12 floor. But it was safe.. rocks used for making stairs is so well placed and not slippery at all. Temple/museum/gardens are well maintained. Knowing history of every idol of god/goddess was real surprising.. all together a good place to visit.

In big cities finding "natural oxygen pub" is difficult. Pune is full of such surprises. Parvati is a small hill with a small adventurous trek around the temple area. Apart from trek, temple there is a museum, caves nearby. One can see pune city skyline. Today it wasn't a clear sky.

It's a very nice and calm place, most probably the naturally highest place at Pune. Very old temple, many people are using the ramp for daily workout.

Bhakti and Shakti

Situated approx 1.25 Kms from Swargate bus stand, the temple is a Hot favourite for Puneites.
You can reach here easily by any mode of conveyance till the foot of the hill. After that you have to Trek up to the temple. The temple was built during the Peshwa Era and is abode to Lord Shiva. The steps here are long and wide and the climb ls very steep. Anyone who is not used to physical activity will find it a bit difficult, but the climb is worth it. You can take as many stops as you want on this short trek and enjoy the scenic view of Pune City.
You can find people of all age groups here who are either here to seek blessings of the Lord or just to spend the evening or who want to keep themselves fit or need some private moments with their beloved.

Apart from the main temple, there are few other temples also and then There is a museum which gives you an insight into the life and times of the Peshwa's.

The climb to the temple gives you Shakti and the Darshan ignites your Bhakti.
Do visit and experience the joy of both Bhakti and Shakti.

If you're a lover of history, you cannot miss a visit to the Parvati Hills in Pune that has the Parvati Temple at the top. The temple is closely associated with the Peshwas who managed the affairs of the Maratha Empire for nearly two whole centuries. As such, it's not just another temple, but a veritable feast of historical facts and anecdotes. The Parvati Hill houses three temples, a Peshwa museum and the final resting place (samaadhi) of Nanasaheb Peshwa. The entire complex is full of boards that have descriptions of the rulers of those times, their life events, the various battles they fought and their contribution to the growth of the Maratha Empire. You'll simply fall in love with this place if you are a lover/ student of history. Even if you're not a great fan of history, this place still has a lot to offer to you- especially the joy of the climb, the amazing city view from the top and garam-garam (hot) vada-pav that you can have at the restaurant near the temple. Highly recommended!!!

Shree Devadeveshwar temple is located on top of the Parvati hill, Pune. The temple is managed by Shree Devadeveshwar sansthan which also manages Sarasbag Ganapati temple, Shree Dashabhuja Ganapati Paud Phata, Shree Ramana Ganapati temple, Parvati in Pune. The word Devadeveshwar means God of Gods in Sanskrit. The main idol is very nice and surrounding the main temple there are 4 small temples of Shree Ganesh, Shree Vishnu, Shree Suryanarayan and Shree Durga. There is small terrace on the surrounding walls of this temple. Now a days 10 rs per person are charged if you want to go on terrace. Do go there and enjoy the beautiful view of Pune city from there.

You can enjoy the amazing view of Pune from here!
There is place called 'Peshwa Museum' where all old things that were used at the time Peshwa are kept.
You have to pay ₹10 as a entry fee to see thia museum.

The hill is great to view. The peshwa museum is not as great as raja dinkar kelkar museum. Not great in the sense as follows:
1. The ambience is not good or we can say the environment of inside the museum is not tourist friendly.
2. Some of things are missing.
3. No fans at all. In summers it's hard to enjoy old history.

I have visited Parvati couple of times and it has always been a good and calm experience. You have stretched stairs to climb while enjoying the natural environment around. You can also roam on the whole mountain. Then at the top you will reach the temple which is maintained very well and kept clean. The thing you will enjoy most at the top of the mountain is the view of Pune city 😍
