Nothing more to say than a life long experience. It’s a place which creates or revolves certain power to anyone who visit the place. One can’t just explain the place simply through words than being there. One of the cleanest place I have seen. Absolutely amazing place. No words are enough to describe how much the place is worth off. Simply great.

This temple is dedicated to lord SHIVA.its one of the 12 Jyotirlinga. In Hindus it's one of the most religious place to visit .specially elderly people have this desire to visit this place.the temple is beautifully made and now large scale renovation has been done due to which the temple looks splendid.a large and spacious corridor has been built with lots of different lights and light shows.inside the temple premises the floor is of marble and is very clean.one has to deposit there phones and other things outside in lockers and nothing is allowed inside the temple.but u can take ur phone inside the corridor after visiting the temple.inside the corridor a spacious eating joint is there where u can have lots of different kind of snacks and desserts .MUST VISIT TEMPLE

Amazing experience inside the temple and in the state.

*Few important notes*

1. Visit Kashi vishwanath temple in the morning to avoid the rush.

2. Right after kashi go for kaal bhairav temple

To avoid long lines take the entry from gate number 4 and get an early entry ticket for 300 INR and you'll be free in 20-30 mins after the darshan

Kashi Vishvanath Temple is one of the most famous Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. The temple stands on the western bank of the holy river Ganga. The Kashi Vishwanath (Vishweshwar) Temple, is home to the Vishwanath Jyotirlinga shrine, which is perhaps the most sacred of Hindu shrines. This temple has newly renovated and clean and systematic Darshan during early morning around 4 am to 4.30am. Those attending this pre-dawn ritual are entitled to a privilege of touching of the lingam.
Jai Baba Bholenath!
Om Namah Shivaye!
SATYAM SHIVAM SUNDARAM!!!
Looking forward to visit again in future!

Varanasi, one of Hinduism’s holy cities, is home to the revered Kashi Vishwanath Temple. This temple has been an integral part of practising the Shaiva philosophy for a very long time. It is famous for its gold-plated domes and spires and its Nandi Bull statue.

Destroyed and rebuilt a number of times, the present structure stands near the original temple site. Hindus from around the world try to visit the temple at least once in their lifetime – the belief being that the temple darshan and a dip in the Ganges will lead a devotee to Moksha.

If you are not looking to attend one of the aartis, then the best time to visit the temple is at 7 AM, to avoid long queues.

The temple opens at 2.30 AM every day. There are 5 Aartis that are conducted in the Kashi Vishwanath Temple daily.
1.Mangala Aarti: 3 AM – 4 AM
2. Bhoga Aarti: 11.15 AM – 12.20 PM
3. Sandhya Aarti: 7.00 PM – 8.15 PM
4. Shringara Aarti: 9.00 PM – 10.15 PM
5. Shayana Aarti: 10.30 PM – 11.00 PM

I wanted to add One can touch the Shiva Linga in Between 4-5am and in evening not sure about the timings.

There are police checkpoints at a number of places as you enter the temple and security procedures are enforced strictly with frequent frisking. Visitors are not allowed to carry cell phones, cameras, belts with metal buckles, shoes, cigarettes and lighters into the temple premises. Lockers can be hired at a nominal charge.

Being a major pilgrim and tourist destination, Varanasi is very well connected to the rest of the country by road, rail and air.
Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport is located at a distance of about 25 kilometres from the city centre.
Varanasi has three railway stations: Varanasi Junction; Mughal Sarai Junction, which is about 8 kilometres from Varanasi; and Manduadih Railway Station, about 4 kilometres from Varanasi.

What an amazing feeling visiting one of the 12 jyotirlinga situated on the banks of Ganga. It’s a must go place for anyone believing in spiritual existence of the almighty.
The place is mostly crowded almost everyday especially more on Monday and during occasions. It takes a minimum of 1-3 hours to visit the temple depending upon the day of your visit. Remember to keep your mobile phone in the locker provided free of charge present in the temple premises.
There are no charges for visiting the temple. It’s a most visited place for anyone visiting Varanasi. Totally recommended.

Awesome experience. It's a bit crowded on weekends and holidays.
Buy ticket, if you are going on holiday.
You need 2-3 days to explore all the nearby Ghat.
Overall spiritual Vibe

Visiting Kashi Vishwanath Temple was a spiritually enriching experience. The ancient architecture, the vibrant energy, and the religious fervor make it a unique pilgrimage. The Ganga Aarti at the ghats adds to the mystical ambiance, memories that one can never forget

We went to Kashi Vishwanath on the day of Ram mandir opening, due to which the line was more than 2 km. We somehow made it inside the temple though and had a darshan. Just choose your time wisely and enjoy the Prasad. We also has banarasi paan, maakhan malai and special kulhad chai. Just remember to keep all your electronics and purses in a locker because they are not allowed.

Kashi Vishwanath Temple is a divine haven that exudes spiritual serenity. The sacred atmosphere and architectural marvel of the temple make it a must-visit pilgrimage site. While the temple itself is awe-inspiring, visitors should exercise caution when purchasing Pooja Samagri. Avoid the initial shops, as they tend to overprice; instead, stroll further into the streets to find the same items at a significantly more reasonable cost, allowing for a more economical and fulfilling spiritual experience.

The temple is majestic and well maintained. Average 2-3 hours to get Darshan. There is proper food court and other basic amenities within the premises. Proper locker system to keep your mobile phones as not allowed inside the temple.

The temple is the very essence of Varanasi. The whole town is built around it. The situation of crowd control inside the premise is very chaotic. The police does not help you at all in this. Be very careful if you have elderly people with you. Protect them from the chaos so they can have a good experience. Only your money or position(if you are a high level government employee or political person)can speak for you here.

Har Har Mahadev🫶 one of the 12 jyotirling in India Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple holds a lot of importance for everyone. One must take blessings from ganga maiya then visit Kashi temple then go to bhairav baba who is known as kashi ke kotwal. Without them the kashi vishwanath temple darshan is believed to be incomplete.

Incredible Place. Last visited in 2015 before visiting in January 2024. Remarkable changes due to Kashi Corridor project. With this corridor project some glory of this massively important temple is finally resorted. Now you can directly reach the Ganga Ghat from the temple just like the ancient times ! The cafeteria serves good food with varieties from most part of the country . You will want to spend time in the campus for sure. There are free lockers for phones and shoes, don’t get conned by those shops outside the campus. Easiest way to enter the temple is form Gate No 4. Next to the temple Ghat is the Manikarnika ghat. Number of boats are waiting at the ghat for your boat ride. One must experience this place, not once but many times in life !.
