Kor Shongthait - Homestay

Really had a great two nights stay here at Kor Shongthait. The room and bathroom was clean and hygienic and hot water available too. The view from terrace in night is amazing. And nearby one can find good restaurant and even pharmacy and all. The network there is good. And lastly , i would like to thank Paul Da for the warm hospitality. Would love to visit again.

Stay was awesome. Rooms are clean and tidy. Bathrooms are also clean. I was having different assumption for home stay, in Meghalaya our family stayed at 5 home stays all were best. Very genuine price. This home stay do not have food option there but outside we have few.
Care taker helped us with drinking warm water and also hot milk.

Was slightly skeptical on whether the room will be neat and clean. Trust me when I say this—photos are not doing any justice for how homely and comfortable this place is. Mr Paul, the manager helps you out at every instance and has a caring dad vibe :)

This is an excellent lodging only facility at Cherrapunji. The owner is a man with a big heart. Very very well behaved, supportive and having great knowledge about the place. His knowledge will be a boon for backpackers seeking additional excitement from their adventures. The location is just by the side of the main road but the place is very open and peaceful and almost pollution free. The lodge lacks glamour normally people wants from the first look but forget that and you will enjoy a great stay. The rooms are clean, large, spacious with big clean toilets with geysers. The bed sizes are bigger than normal hotel standards. Families will enjoy. For restaurant facility one has to walk 100 metres down the road.
Overall I enjoyed my stay here and will again stay here if I go again - solely for the hospitality of the owner.

Such a pleasant stay. The owner Paul was too kind and always a call away for anything you need- be it regarding the room or arranging cabs etc. Very calm and peaceful environment and the place is very close to the main center and police station.

I had an amazing experience there. It's near to Seven sister water falls and half and hour from Wei sawdong. You will get many restaurants nearby. Hot water is available and the room they provided was really comfortable one and morning view from that window was mesmerizing! Thanks Mr Paul for your nice service! 😊

Excellent experience. We got Room no 5, which is the best among all 5 rooms. There is a mini waterfall situated at the back of the homestay. The bathroom was clean and very big.

Run by a family of 2, its nicely decorated and suitable for the travellers who want homeless experience in economy/budget. Here, one can see the coordination among husband wife how wife and husband both act as the head of the family and the man was very comfortable being submissive as and when required. Loved the place with all the basic amenities situated on a calm and peaceful lower Sohra

This is an awesome homestay in cherrapunjee. The owner and the manager Mr Paul is a gem of a person. These people would help you with your iternery for your visit here and would be of all the help you need. You want to explore some natural caves, ask them and you would be accompanied too. The food options are via a few restaurants which are at a walking distance of two minutes from the homestay. If you are a vegetarian, the food is delicious in restaurant named Halari, go for their parathas and you won't regret it. The masala tea offered is not something I had in 15 days of my trip there.

If you want to stay at Sohra or Cherrapunjee it can be the best choice for you. I was really surprised with their behaviors and services. I will remember Poul the manager of this hotel for his great hospitality. Room condition was good with clean toilet and water heater facility.

Spent 2 of the most memorable days in Cherrapunji in this home stay. If you are a solo traveler or a group of adventure enthusiasts then there is no other place as good as this to hang in, keeping in view the route convenience from all the nearby view points, falls and caves and also the affordable price along with nearby restaurants to order your favorite food. Lastly the owner is such a nice person who never leaves any stone un-turned in helping us find all the required information about the locality to have a great travel. Happy travelling folks!

Neat, Clean, cozy rooms with all amenities (except food which is available nearby)which will give any room in a luxury hotel a run for its money. A memorable stay.

I go every year just to meet the owners and hang out with them. They will give you company in about everything.. They can play awesome guitar and are good western music singers. My favourite is the free bonfire they arrange for me everytime. If you are looking for a homely stay and a friendly welcome.. Then kor shongkhiat is the place beyond doubt!

Warm host and excellent home stay. Very near to lower sohara junction. Doesn't serve food but many good eateries and shops near by. Hot water available. Dormitory available. Even has tie-ups with many reasonable cab drivers.

Very comfortable 2 days stay! Extremely neat & clean place. A special mention to Mr.Paul - the manager who would give you the most genuine suggestions & guidance. He would somehow arrange for almost everything you ask for. If you are planning to stay in Cherrapunji any time - this place is most recommended!

A Nice and Furnished room with flat screen TV in every room.
Well furnished bathroom and toilet.
Paul the care taker play well guitar along with Western and Khasi Folk Song.
The Lodge is located near Metrological Office with a gaint ball structure or Greenfield School.

Clean and neat place . Rooms and dormitories both options available. Host are very helpful. Near by lower Sohra junction . Central place for Sohra Cherapunji site seeing. Both public transportation and private cans available from nearby junction. Plenty of food options available nearby .

Superb, comfortable, economical and great place to stay for holidays... starting from the owner Ma'am to the manager Mr. Paul, all were extremely informative and helpful during our stay in their homestay....very neat and tidy rooms as well as the washrooms...I would definitely recommend this Homestay to all who visits Cherapunjee and I myself will stay here for my future adventures.... Thank you for making my stay comfortable and a memorable one....🎉🎉🎉

Conviniently situated on the road leading to the seven sisters falls, sohra (3 kms)... Mr. Paul, the owner was very cooperative through out our stay of two days..... Unassuming from outside, the rooms of the homestay are quite comfy and have good arrangements including clean and spacious washrooms..... Few good n budget restaurants are located within 100 mts of the homestay...
The rates of the homestay was also within budget....
Highly recommended if you want budget hotel with good facility and great cooperation!!!

They don't have any kind of room service. The rooms were big, clean and well mentained. The manager was very polite and helpful
