The hill has three peaks, the second one being the tallest. We climbed the first one only. It is bit difficult, but can easily be climbed if go slow and steady. Take your time and climb. There are some stalls where you can take rest and drink lemon juice. Overall a very good experience.

three beautiful peaks in the range of susunia, you can climb easily if you are a trekking lover...
P.S - don't visit in the monsoon as the upward way gets filled with water streams.

This hill is very famous in west Bengal. Not too far from Bankura. One can trek this hill . A little steeper so take time to climb. Some lodge and hotels are available for night staying. A small market is present where all necessary things are available. There is a temple and holy spring beneath the hill. You can buy hand designed stone made things from the shops here. Large Parking place is available. Good for one day trip.

One of the tourist attractions in Bankura, susunia is a beautiful hill will a height of 1442 ft. It is a part of the chotonagpur plateau.
The hill has three peaks. Tourists mainly go to the larger peak. The base has several stalls selling stone crafts, which is a well known handicraft of Susunia and bankura. It also has joldhara, a natural spring, that has water 24×7.
The smaller peak has the Chandrabarma silalipi. It is the oldest found brajabuli script in South Bengal , written in Sanskrit alphabets. It says that Chakrabartiswami Raja Chandrabarma is a devotee of lord Vishnu. The chakra as seen beside the inscription is the same as the chakra in Ashok stambha, historians say.

If you are a nature lover then it is the perfect place for you. Try to reach the top of the hill either early in the morning or during sunset. The hilltop view during sunset is magical. Though it is around 45min hike from the base and the entire trail is stony and the path is bit steep. There is also a spring in the base of Susunia and taste the water which is same as mineral water. You can also buy souvenirs from market which is situated at the base of the hill.

It is one of the best tourist spots in Bankura. Hills is well connected by roadways. Public transport is available here..journey to the destination is quite beautiful..with a beautiful view landscape and a distant view of the hills...jungle. It has easy to moderate inclination and hiking. A normal physic person can hike easily. For an obese and physically weak person may feel difficult..on the way to the top there is a water tea stall in case you need to refresh. There are 3 peaks of the hills 1st and 2nd top can be hiked by trail. At 2nd top, there is a small temple with stacked stones and the view is mesmerising...

Beautiful place for adventurous purpose. This place is highly adventurous and provide great enjoy to the tourists. 1:30 hours from Durgapur and with scenic beauty. A resort is there and number of hotels are there. For hill climbing purpose it is mentioned not to hurry it may take 1:30 hours for climbing the top peak with breaks, small breaks are necessary for climbing up. At first it is not that much difficult, though with climbing it become more difficult with steep rocks. You have to measure your step rightly.

Beautiful Place. Susunia has both adventurous and holy significance. One can also take it as a trek activity. Plenty on Langoors on the way, so be aware... Rocky path and forest path till the summit. Can be considered a moderate strenuous climb. Recommended for an adventurous day!
