As a district hospital it serves well, staffs' behaviour are also good...but need more hygienic surroundings...most importantly A SHADE should be there in front of the X-Ray department...people wait in queue under the scorching sun...that's very pathetic.

It is Bankura sammilani Medical College also known as Bankura Gobindanagar Hospital. It is one of the largest Medical college in West Bengal.
It is a government Medical college and hospital in Bankura. It is a good place to study for nurses and doctors.
The doctors and nurses are also very good.
The location is very nice. You can easily reach here. The treatment is also good.
But the the nature is very unhealthy. It is the very dirty place and smell very bad. One of the problem is the management system.

Bankura Sammilani Medical College in its current form was established in the year 1956 by Bankura Sammilani Trust as a part of Swaraj movement against the British rule. The college was taken over by the Govt of west bengal in 1961 with an initial student strength of 25, recognised by the medical council of India.
There are 5 hostels for boys (Namely: Dr. S.R. Bhattacharya, Dr. B.C. Roy, Junior Boy's Hostel, Chummery and Rabin Hall) and 2 hostels for girls.
There is one large play ground situated at Gobindanagr campus, just in front of Dr S.R.Bhattacharya hostel, which hosts all intra-college outdoor tournaments. Another two play grounds are situated beside Boys' hostel at Gobindanagar campus and also Lokepur campus respectively.
All hostels are equipped with a canteen for boys and girls.
Small grounds inside all hostel campuses are the place to host indoor tournaments like badminton, football , volleyball, short cricket etc

According to Wikipedia ,Bankura Sammilani Medical College in its current form was established in the year 1956 by Bankura Sammilani Trust as a part of Swaraj movement against the British rule. The college was taken over by the Government of West Bengalin 1961 with an initial student strength of 25, recognised by the Medical Council of India. MCI also officially recognized its postgraduate degree courses in General Medicine, General Surgery, Pediatrics and Gynecology & Obstetrics since 2009 and in Pathology and Preventive and Social medicine since 2010. More PG seats in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Dermatology, Radio-diagnosis, General Surgery (additional seats), G&O (additional seats), Paediatrics, & Anesthesia were also permitted by the MCI in the year 2013. Now the total UG seats and PG seats at B.S. Medical College are 150 and 78 respectively in each year.

The stuffs & Doctors are very good & their behaviour also good...but there is problems with the management systems...The outdoor patients ticket counters are not too much there to provide the tickets to the outdoor patients on time ...This is not the big issue...The main issue is that the unhygienity & uncleaningness....they sweepers always try make hospital clean & hygiene...but most of the uneducated patients make the hospital more & more dirtiest... they are not use toilet & dustbins...most of them do their natural work ( pooping & urinal) on the floors..they keep their food wrappers and unfinished meal on the floor....I know health is wealth...if those things would be continue,then how we will get proper health...most of disease spread from these unhygienity ....we should take action about it & make them educated about cleaningness & hygienety.
