The Retreat Hotel

The hotel was very good and it's a nice place to stay with family and Taj Mahal is close to this hotel. Services are very good, staff was polite and helpful. We will definitely come and also advise to our family and friends to stay here only.

Excellent service specially the restaurant team. Sabir khan good maneger. It is really near to the Taj Mahal. Just 10 minutes walking. A little bit noisy

Management went out of their way to make our stay in Agra special.
Only the breakfasts need improvement otherwise I highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed there 2 days back, no air ventilation in the room no exhaust is there , bed quality is too much poor bed size is king size but mattress is separate so child is feeling difficulty in sleeping in the middle. Extra bed quality is very much poor deveped back pain .

Overall ok services is also good , few issues for warm water is supplied as per schedule 1 hr in morning and eve only , staff expects tips frequently. Food is good location is around 500 mts away from main road

We stayed here after a long day driving from Jaipur. The room was big, however the waterpressure was terrible in the shower and warm water hardly possible. Also, the greatest let down was the service. Although they knew a wedding was planned for the night to last until 12am, we were placed in a room directly above the commotion. And when we went down to the reception three times all that was done is to assure us that the noise disrurbance would be over soon.
Very bad service and terrible management that doesn't care about the hotel guests.

I WILL NOT recommend this place for family visitors. The Buffet is useless with no variety and tasteless food. The staffs at the buffet counter were RUDE and senseless. Their focus is to plunder Money from the customer. ZERO customer service.
Please don't book this place and make your trip to beautiful Taj Mahal unpleasant.

We stayed one night at the hotel. Unfortunate experience at the restaurant made our stay less attractive than expected. The restaurant procing for alcohol is not in the menu card so they tell you any price they can and if you don’t ask beforehand you are doomed. 1st glass of wine was diluted, 2nd was replaced with non-alcoholic sparkling quasi drink for people who may not be sophisticated in the wine area. The next day we stayed at amazing hotel Tiger Den next to Ranthambore National Park. Bottle of wine was 3x cheaper than what Retreat charged for the same product and they were not diluting with cheap stuff. Overall it’s a scam hence 1 out of 5 (hotel quality very good) so I am making negative comment purely because of restaurant manager.

I’ve been there with my boyfriend (both certified someliers). We were so happy we could try local wine there so we ordered 2 glasses at the restaurant. We get nothing more than tonic water in a very beutiful glass. It was sparkling but I am 100% sure it wasn’t even standing next to the alcohol (they were not lucky enouch as we are someliers). Because we were sure we didn’t get a wine we ordered a full bottle. Then we were charged 6000 india rupees for it!!! In India you always have a maximum price they can charge you in a shop for sth and on the bottle it was 780 rupees. It was a hotel restaurant so they can charge you more.. 2 times, 5 times, but they charge us 9 times more!!! And they explained that this is a price and we have to believe their words as they do not have any alcohol in their menu card. So no proof for prices they charge their customers. 4* hotel that do not include ANY alcohol prices in their menu!!! Of course it was our fault we didn’t agree on the price upfront, but come on! We didn’t expect they are gonna charge us 9x more! We didn’t paid such amount of money in a luxury Delhi hotel. Be carefull!!!! We would never be back.
