Deepee Restaurant (formerly Dasaprakash)

We wanted to dine-in and spend few hours so we googled out the restaurants and found this place.
The restaurant is elevated and they have a nice transperent lift for it. entrance is very nice with gatekeeper welcoming you. Restaurant has warmly atmosphere with dim yellow light. Its a pure vegetarian restaurant. Though they serve many cousine but south indian dishes are their core. Prices are higher than the market price may be about 1.5x or 2x times.
Idli was good served with 2portion of white chutney, one portion of sambhar, small container of pure ghee and gun powder. Just Amazing Presentation.

Cream of Tomato soup was okayish. I felt the milk based ingredient proportion was bit higher in it. But may be it was needed to make cream flavour. It was served with two large bread sticks and butter.

The best decision we made was to have their Paneer ki sabji with Laccha parota meal. In the entire menu that was something which justified the price and quantity.

Overall good place to visit once but you have to make ordering decision wisely. Dosa here are too expensive and portion/quantity is okayish.

Since I spent good time at this restaurant, I strongly wish to point out with my observation that the new Manager (Jav bir/Om bir) is good for customers but very harsh on the restaurant staff. He is like a live wire on the field. Only scolding the staff each time they crossover. The staff and middle level representative are polite and sincere in their work, Mr. JayVir/Ombir, please be gentle with them otherwise it will be a bad sign for resturant.

I really find an amazing South Indian food.. always thought to come at this amazing place n today is the day!! Even I’m thinking when I’ll come next…we ordered a South Indian platter, a masala dosa and lemon rice in extras we’re 3 n uh people don’t believe we almost over eat but can’t fulfill the cravings…. They were great with vegan and gluten free options.

We had their dosa which was amazing. The gobi Manchurian was one of the best I’ve ever had.

Their side dishes are super tasty.

Well what to say about this awesome restaurant.. everything i visit my appetite gets doubled ..i would be happy to come again and again.

Very good food in an impeccable clean restaurant. I recommend the Deepee Thali which I really enjoyed. I finished off with a nice, smooth mango lassi. The prices are higher than at many other places, but especially as westerner you take this in exchange for the cleanliness.
There is a new manager running the place. He seems to be hawk-eyeing all employees, but at the same time he was very friendly to us.

We accidentaly landed to this restaurant based on google search for the South Indian Restaurant. I must say we were not disappointed with the decision.

We primarily ordered south Indian dishes which includes Uthapam, Dosa, Idly, Vada and every single dish surprised us positively with the unique taste. All the dishes were preapred in desi ghee and unlimited sides (sambhar, tomato chutney - amazing, nariyal chutney) were offered during the meal.

Food: The quality of the food was superb and extremly good. Highly recommended if you are in Agra and creave for south Indian Food.

PS: We did not try north Indian meals so I cannot commnet about it.

One of the best places to have authentic South Indian Food in Agra.

We always have a great time eating here. We were attended by Mr Om Veer hotel manager and Mr KK our server. They were very courteous and warm. The service was exceptional just as much as the food. Deeper never disappoints us.

Good food! I am coeliac (gluten free) and the staff were able to find safe food to give me and adapt things from the menu, so good if you have any requirements. Having been to S India previously, the south Indian food on offer is authentic and how i remember! Omwer is very helpful. Restaurant is also very clean!

Amazing restuarant. Great food, reasonable cost, friendly staff. Been there 7 years ago and nothing has changed the quality is still top notch. Any dish can be ordered and you are bound to be happy. Parking available. Their signature desert sundae was out of the world a dish on its own - colabry

Truly the best meal in my three weeks of travel in India. Granted, many previous meals were consumed at street food stalls, but nonetheless, Deepee is excellent by any standard. Good value to boot.

A South-Indian restaurant amidst a North Indian hustling bustling city.

We visited here during our stay @ Agra and on the last day of trip in this city, our taxi driver decided to take here for a different cuisine.

The hotel is well maintained and seemed to have a legacy of its own. The founder of the hotel had been among the who's -who of political India in his times and we could see many snaps of the olden times, taken with dignitaries.

Food ordering and serving was quick and the taste was well maintained to be a South India one. The staff was courteous and did not sound insisting for anything. Billing wen smooth and we moved ahead, clicking some good pictures here.

Major cards accepted, excluding AMEX for now.

I would definitely like to say that after eating the dosa of Deepee resturant, I did not like the dosa of any other place and all the people should definitely add virgin mojito in their meal, the uncle who makes it there he makes the best mojito.

We have dined here couple of times. Very beautiful ambience and authentic south Indian food. A must try vegetarian joint for its good ambience and great food... their dosas are amazing... their potato masala dosa specially the aloo sabzi is most authentic aloo sabzi.. coming straight from the south... the white chutney everything is perfect...🤌❤
The manager is a very experienced old guy named Mr Om Bir.. personally looks into everything. Maintains a lots of hygiene and has good managerial skills...
Also the supporting team Mr Karan along many others are very helpful and provide extremely polised services...the staff is very qualified to do the job.
Overall a good experience. 👍
