It has a small open court in front of the three-arched prayer-chamber. There is no ornamentation and it is simple. It is enclosed and secured on all sides by high walls and, it appears that, Shah Jahan used this mosque during his imprisonment in the adjoining apartment of Musamman Burj, also called shah-burj, from 1658 to 1666 A.D.

Nagina Masjid

Nagina Masjid or the Gem Mosque is made up of pure white marble and was meant for the personal use of the emperor. Built between 1631-40 in the northwestern corner of the Machchhi Bhawan, it has a marble paved court enclosed by walls to the north, south and east and the prayer chamber on the west. The prayer chamber is also made up of marble and has three domes on its top. The mosque has a three-arched façade with the cusps and supported on slender piers as its entrance. The arch in the middle is larger and has nine cusps and ones on the either sides have seven cusps only.

The mihrab pointing the direction of Holy Kabah is situated on the western wall of the prayer chamber. The arches have a broad projecting chhajja on three sides. The distinctive feature of the mosque that makes it stand apart from other buildings of the fort is above the arches. A curve can also be seen in the middle of the façade i.e. in the chhajja as well as in the parapet, which gives extra importance to the central part in the façade. This feature known as bangladar is a distinctive characteristic of this mosque. The three bulbous domes are crowned by inverted lotus and finials and the central one is larger than the other two.

This mosque is constructed with pure white attractive marble and encloses the prayer chamber exquisitely designed. The Nagina Masjid bears a very simple architecture and a descent decoration.

The mosque is separated into three bays by simple pillars underneath the keen arches above. There is a balcony presenting the panoramic views of the road that runs towards the Hathi Pol lies on the northern side of the Masjid

This beautiful structure was built for the ladies of the Royal family. This private mosque has special features of three majestic domes and wonderful arches. A luxurious bazaar, known as Mina Bazar, was functioning down the road from where royal ladies could purchase items standing in the balcony of Nagina Masjid.

Small Beautiful Masjid built inside the Agra Fort. It was the private mosque built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in C.1635 AD, for use by the ladies of the Harem with Court on its three sides. Among the private Harem Mosques of Shah Jahan, this beautiful masjid is excelled only by its successor the Moti-Masjid in Red Fort, Delhi.

Mina Masjid or the Heavenly Mosque was built by Shah Jahan between 1631-40 near Diwan-i-Khas in Agra Fort. This small mosque was built, entirely of white marble, by the Mughal king Shah Jahan for his personal use.

It is a little gem inside the Agra fort. Occasionally, it is lonely. Very well-kept, clean. Was used as a mosque for women of the fort.
