After The Rains Rainforest Lodge, Wayanad

Amazing.. everything is just amazing... Good + location+ stay + staff + activities+ hospitality and what not... You get a royal treatment here.

1. The location is awesome... You cannot expect anything better than this. You get to see mountains right from the balcony and room. The evening is all foggy and cloudy.

2. They have activities like finishing for kids which my kid loved. He caught fish 2 times.

3. Food was really good. It was like home food and they change the menu every day. I had read reviews saying food isn't good but I felt it was great. One fish and one chicken item all the time. Really good food. I and really happy that I chose breakfast and dinner both when I booked.

Treatment here makes yoy feel royal and they take care of all your needs. Initially I felt it was costly but now I can say that the hospitality and the service you get there, it's worth it. In such a big property they only have very few rooms and you get all their attention. You can nkt expect anything more.

Thanks to the property manager and staff. They were all amazing and took very good care of us. I will definitely recommend and will visit this place again if I go wayanad again.

Just amazing. Its the perfect place for couples. My husband and I went there to celebrate our first anniversary. It was nothing less than a dreamy vacation. The staff are very friendly and adventurous. Very helpful and on their feet. The food is locally sourced and delicious. Do try their home grown coffee roast. It's too good. Cannot wait to go there again!

Absolutely delighting experience, If you are looking for a forest vibe and tranquil atmosphere this place it tops the chart. The staffs are very well behaved and very humble. The stay and services are perfect to spend a lavish and chilling day. The food was really good including the options and the taste. Couldn't find a thing as an improvement. Worthy to visit again 👍

We stayed in a Pimienta 203 villa for 3 nights. The villa is very beautiful with serene surroundings and a forest view with a private swing . The swimming pool, fishing pond and badminton court are nearest to this villa. With innumerable fruits and flowers plants and birds nearby it felt like nature is your home. Malabar cuisine was very delctable and had lots of varieties. Kudos to Arjun and Ragesh for their hospitality and guidance during our stay.

One of the top resorts I've ever been to. The front desk staff was really helpful and kind. Excellent personnel who know how to look after customers. The service was outstanding, and the room was properly furnished. Rakesh sir and the staff made even my 5-month-old daughter feel at ease despite the fact that this is my first visit with her. Additionally, if you want to consume organic or real food, this is the place for you.

If you're a nature lover and wish to stay amidst fresh air then this is a perfect getaway from Bangalore! They grow all their produce in the resort premises itself! The only con would be that there are no ac in the room so in summers it gets a little too hot.

Set in lush green forests of wayanad ,this resort gives the ultimate experience of nature and relaxation. The rooms had breath taking views and were very comfortable. The food was amazing, organic and delicious. All the staff were incredibly courteous and helpful. This is a must try when you are planning a visit to wayanad.

My husband and I had stayed at Lilikoi for 3 days. This place is located inside a plantation and has the most amazing views of the hills. As the name suggests, it looks surreal after the rains. The staff are very hospitable and welcoming, and the food is a diverse spread of authentic Kerala cuisine. There is also a good collection of books in the lobby and a number of options for recreation, including a beautiful fishing pond. The natural topography of the land has been preserved as much as possible, and it is one of the greatest things about the property. It is the best option for people who want to be close to nature. I am looking forward to stay there again.

Loved the experience. Just a thought though- having bathtubs with such an amazing view is fantastic. However the experience is hampered as it has to be filled using a small water heater/ geyser again and again. Hopefully this can be addressed so I can enjoy this better the next time I visit.
The food, the location, the service - loved it all

I would highly recommend this resort to anyone who wants to go to a silent and serene atmosphere. You can spend the whole day wandering around the resort or just sip in a cup of coffee at the balcony watching the beautiful view and fog .We checked into kokum rooms. The amenities were great. We had complimentary breakfast which we really enjoyed.

It was a great stay at After the rains... Like the resort name it looks amazing to see the place after a slight rain... It gives you a great experience of staying in a forest and provides you a peaceful atmosphere... The only issue I feel is that the elderly people will have a slight disadvantage walking up and down the steep hill while having to visit the reception/restaurant. But a big shout out to the staff who are very supportive and well mannered. Especially Rakesh and Arjun who guided and helped us a lot... Rest too are very supportive but I missed checking out their names🙂... One thing I slightly request can be improved is the food menu for lunch and dinner and the taste of few dishes.... But breakfast was better... Meanwhile, I would strongly recommend all to visit this place if you are a nature enthusiast or a mountain lover... It's has got all you want with an amazing view....

I stayed there with my family of four for 2 nights. It’s a perfect place for someone who wants to relax and enjoy the nature. The resort is located in the middle of plantations adjoining the forest area. Its very calm and peaceful. Though a little overpriced, rooms are spacious enough.
There are only 10 rooms / cottages here, so even in the peak period you will not find more then 20 guests at a time here. The resort is well spread out and the cottages are far from each other, so you will barely notice people. The only sounds you will hear is the different kinds of birds chirping and the wind blowing.
Our cottages had huge glass walls on two sides and the view was mesmerising. We could see the plantation, the valleys and the mountains from our bed.
The staff is more than eager to serve you with what ever resources available. Food is good enough, though they have a fix menu, it’s sufficient and serves the purpose. They grow most of the food stuff in the plantations.
Special thanks to Resort manager Rakesh for making our stay wonderful and making us feel special and the ever helpful and resourceful Arjun for all the help.
The only drawback is the price, otherwise its a lovely place..

One of the finest resorts and stays in meppadi, we had booked kah-wah and the room is just the way it is in the pictures. Much more actually. The location is very accessible to major tourist spots yet it is secluded giving you that peace and calmness from city buzz. Right from the time we checked in till out check out it was picture perfect experience that the staff provided us, food was just amazing on all 3 days. Rakesh, Faisal, Arjun and Vishnu were amazing staff who took great care of us through out and special mention to Geetha madam who made our reservations, very polite and gem of a person i must say. We got a surprise candle light dinner that was arranged for us on our 1st dinner night and it was such an amazing gesture madam, thank you 😊. The chef even prepared very tasteful Maggie on our request on our 2nd day. We requested Vishnu if we can get a jackfruit to take home and he kindly obliged to have one neatly packed for us..
Much recommended and totally worth it.

An amazing place to stay, or unwind. Great service , great food, for the experience the payment made is worth. But will be on the costlier side.

Located in the rippon, village of wayanad, it nestled well inside the forest, a 16 acres property with 8 cottages available, we have selected lili koi, for our stay, and the views were breathtaking. The cottage has a bathroom area separate from the main area, has balcony which overlooks the cliffs. The morning and evening views from the balcony and the bathroom are awesome.

Good morning and dinner is included in the package, and lunch is available on request, Amazing taste on the food. The spread was good with starters, main course and deserts. Evening snacks is also available on request mostly French fries and chicken .

Highlight is the morning breakfast, and the night dinner awesome taste and a decent enough spread.

The property also has a walk through the property which takes you to the fishing pond, which in by itself an scenic place, and also has a pool.

No cellular service or Wi-Fi in the cottage area, so enjoy the peace. Wi-Fi is available at the main lobby.

Also note the property is on the cliff or the slope of the cliff , so expect some climbing on incline is required and the distance between the cabin ans main lobby ( for dining) is also a bit lengthier, but it did not deter me or my kid to have the time of our life.

Visited the place for my birthday. It was a family visit. Talking of the location, it's amazing. You will feel like as if you are in the lap of nature. Varieties of flowers, birds, water stream, ponds, butterflies.. you name it and you can experience it. The road to the resort is good. The place is little far from major tourist attractions and nearest market is 4 KM. However, the place is having so much to offer that you will need sufficient time to cover the resort amenities itself. Mr. Joji and his staff is very helpful and always smiling. They made my birthday extra special. The breakfast was good and had good options to pick. However, the lunch and dinner have limited menu. Overall, I'll recommend the place for visit. It's 5/5.

It is a beautiful resort situated at an amazing location. The views from rooms is gorgeous and the food is great too. Special shout out to Rakesh and Arjun for being great hosts. The morning post breakfast tour of the property is a must.

One of the best resorts in Wayanad.
We booked rooms in After the Rain to celebrate our wedding Anniversary and the whole plan was for two days. We booked lillycoyi room which are ideal for couples. The room is amazing with a breathtaking view of the mountains. The room is separated from the bathroom by a small corridor. The bathroom also has a huge glass window that gives you the view.
Talking about the management, the best thing is the positive and polite behaviour of staff and Manager. The resort manager Mr Rakesh was very supportive and gave us the best experience with the resort. He had rightly guided us with all the requests and this made our experience one of the most memorable. The team also provided us with a special candle light dinner accompanied with a cake after knowing it was our wedding anniversary.
Mr Fayas was very helpful with taking us through the property and also we thank him for patiently helping us click our pictures. He is a good photographer too and an excellent guide as he is also from Wayanad.
Mr Arjun knows a lot about Wayanad and its history and can give good recommendations for places to visit. Other staff members were also very friendly and polite.
The food is a set menu and it's good but the options are limited within the menu set for the day.
The resort is near a forest and this place is for people who want such an experience. Do expect some insects in your bathroom especially when lights are turned on at night.
The room service for food is also limited to snacks between 5 - 7 PM only.
Overall we loved this place and we hope to come back soon for another holiday.

Excellent stay!

Food- breakfast options are plently very well made especially the coconut cake! Lunch and dinner options are few but each dish is very thought out and well made. The pakodas in the evening were so healthy minimum oil. Their juices passion fruit, cucumber are incredibly refreshing!

Rooms- we stayed in lillikoi - serene view, cozy cottage, very cool and comfortable, and clean. Insects do enter but it's a forest resort so that's expected..

View and location- lobby view is so stunning. The location is a little away from meppadi and other towns but that's the case in wayanad. A car is the best way to go around because everything is atleast an hour away. The hotel however helps to arrange transport.

Staff- last but not the least - staff is the most courteous. It's one of the highlights of this hotel. They make the experience wonderful and warm.

A must visit place to relax in the scenic beauty of the mountains and greens. The rooms facing the mountain view is enchanting. The ambience of all the staff is as beautiful as the place there.
