Amazing experience of boating in the infamous backwater of Kerala. This place is must to visit as part of Kerala trip. There are two types of boats available houseboat and sight seeing boats. Sight seeing boats are for 2-3 hrs and house boats are 6-7 hours which includes lunch/dinner based on the timings. Price vary from number of person for house boat.

It's the Venice of India. Boat house stay, cruise, water sports and countryside boat ride were the memories for lifetime.

We enjoyed 3 hours of boating here. Truly a great experience for us. Evening is recommended to everyone for boating.

The entire experience was fabulous, Beautiful houseboat with all amenities ,The boat takes through the entire lake for almost 2 hour cruise journey and then in the evening it settles down near the shore, It is a beautiful experience to watch the sunset & a cherry on the cake moment when you have your girl gang with you & spend the entire night in the houseboat, everything was great except that there were mosquitoes but if you are careful about them then you can prevent them from coming into the room.The food quality and service was great, the quantity offered was also good enough. Overall a must and different experience of the entire Kerala trip.

Loved the boating experience. Chill, calm and soothing. The boating lasted for around 2 and half hours and cost around 3000 rupees. I got to see fields that are below sea level (rare), picturesque backwaters, experienced eagle sitting on my shoulders in a hotel midway, narrow canals, different varieties of boats, boat construction yard, people doing their daily chores on the river side etc. Would recommend this to others.

A surreal experience with India's largest backwaters. A bit humid but a must visit place in Kerala. I heard that close to 2000 boats operate in this area but still I could see a lot of serene locations. The sunset is beautiful, don't miss it.

Wonderful experience being there for a day. The mesmerizing beauty that you get to experience with your eyes is awful. Took shikara ride for Rs. 700 per hour (for 6-8 people). Other options are also available at different prices. The government boat starts at 11-11:30 am. You can enjoy delicious food in between the ride at local restaurants.

This place is just wow. I recommend you to book one boat which has room as well. They will provide you lunch, complementary drinks and evening tea as well. You can book a boat for a night stay also..i had a very good experience there.inenjoyed alot. And don't forget to bargain while booking. Imp note: book a boat from the jetty itself so you will get a ticket at a good price. And the timing is from 12-5pm so book before 10 am.

Allepey backwaters is the Asia’s largest freshwater lake.

The trip was very interesting, we hired whole boat with a balcony.
The capitan speaks English, so we got a good understanding of the place and culture of the people.
We bought some a king size shrimps in our way, and our coock prepared an wonderful meals additional to the luch.
We really enjoyed all five hours.

Kerala has so much to do. But these backwaters are so clam and superbly beautiful. Have spent 4hours on boat, seriously I can spend whole day.
