Pournami Houseboats

That was a wonderful experience we had and it was our first time for Houseboat and we are glad that we chose Pournami and the people working over there was calm and helpful to us and they suggested each and every thing to explore as we told them it was our first time and I’ve attached photos of the places we visited, and the food we had was awesome. They helped us from the time we reached Allapey and there was lot of places to explore just have discussion with the guys over there they will guide you it’s my personal opinion to have discussions with them.

We chose Pournami tours for our first houseboat experience and it was absolutely amazing! We took a 24 hr tour for 4 pax, 2 rooms, at 30k rs. total. We were served 5 star delicious meals thrice a day, with a very accomodating staff. The best veg food we had in our Kerela trip was served here. The rooms were well lit and comfortable with all amenities available. The sights were amazing and photogenic. I would recommend Pournami Tours for your houseboat experiences.

You may be offered some local massage services or some boating on a smaller boat, but I'd recommend against these options as Poovar is a better place for boating.

Very neat and comfortable stay.. we stayed overnight in the boat.. At night they had put nice mosquito net in the deck after halting the boat to avoid any insects.. Professional team.. They never said no for any of our request.. We got sea food on the way and they cooked it yummy for our meal..

Had a fantastic time on the houseboat experience with pourami. The food was great and the crew (prasanna, Rajesh and Manoj) took great care of us and we're very willing to make our trip a memorable one.

I had a wonderful experience on a one night houseboat tour on a two bedroom boat with Prasanna, Rajesh, and Manoj. The boat was very clean and well cared for. The food was excellent and there was so much of it! We spent a quiet night at a dock that wasn't too close to other boats. I got lots of beautiful pictures and had a very relaxing time.

Had a wonderful house boat experience. To start with boat is maintained neatly and beautiful interior. The upper deck is perfect for a small family of 1 or 2 to spend time together and for site seeing. Coming to hospitality it's excellent.. always eager to serve more better. Food that was served was excellent, well cooked dishes and tasty. Overall will remember this trip for a long time.

Amazing Experience, Great Service and a super amazing team and staff at Pournami Houseboat. We had the best food on our trip in this houseboat - We even bought locally caught, fresh catch like Crab and Kareemeen Fish and they cooked it for us in an authentic Kerala style - AWESOME !!!.
The team had even confirmed our preferred cooking oil and rice before the start of our trip. The service and hospitality were just perfect - we were in bliss. The cook, Mr. Vinod was amazing, he would carve a decorative pineapple in minutes and other dishes just kept getting better.
The backwaters, especially because it was in November was also clean and no smell at all.
Rooms, cleanliness, and amenities are all as expected and even better.
Pournami Houseboat is the way to go. Thanks to the staff and team once again. God bless them !!.
We will surely subscribe to their service next time too.

It was a very nice expérience! Rajesh, Joseg and Manoj were very attentive to my needs. The boat is superb and very pleasant. And the food… one of the best I’ve eaten in India! I recommend !

I booked Pournami boat for Jan 27th 2024..bestest boat ..neat ambience especially washrooms very very tidy..no compramises on cleanliness of boat...staffs are so friendly..they serve the best food..no doubt about it..i took speed boat service nd i was scared of drifting but people in boat called the person they know nd asked him to do normal speed drive nd no drifting were he agreed fr the same..

They look for customers safety a lot..made us very comfortable..worth the pay..was a very pleasant nd unforgettable journey..longing to go again nd again..

22-05-2022 Sunday It was our family's first home boat trip experience. The house boat was clean and hygienic. The staff took good care of all of us.

Welcome drink, lunch, evng Tea & snacks, night dinner, next day morning breakfast All the food was tasty and good.

All the family members enjoyed this trip very much.

We had beautiful experience of overnight stay in their 2 bedroom houseboat. On the boat crew led by Prasanna was very nice and helpful throughout. They made sure we are having great time during our stay. Food was delicious. Every area in the houseboat was neat and clean. Would highly recommend everyone to get this experience.

We had the most wonderful stay with Pournami houseboats. Our check-in was so easy by being greeted at the car park by the owner of the boat. Once on board we were greeted by the three lovely friendly courteous staff who looked after us throughout our stay. The food they provided for us was absolutely delicious. The rooms were well appointed and very comfortable. The cruising speed was just right to allow us to enjoy the view of daily life along the river banks. When evening fell all the insect nets came down to provide us with a very comfortable outdoor evening room to enjoy the fresh air in. We were given the opportunity to fish from the boat as well as the chance to buy some fresh local seafood which we did, which was then cooked up for us by a lovely staff. All in all, it was the most wonderful way to finish our remarkable Indian holiday. Many thanks to Vinod, Manoj, Prasana, Rajesh and Sujithra.

Had a wonderful experience travelling through the backwaters of Allepey
It was a spacious houseboat..we travelled as a group of 10 people not for one moment feeling cramped for space.
Rooms and toilets were well maintained clean and with a homely atmosphere
Cuisine served were a treat to the buds eventhough the menu is based on available products...local cuisine prepared fresh and served with utmost hospitality
Review can't be complete without mentioning the courteous attitude of the staff in the boat.They made the trip complete and enjoyable

We had a lovely stay in a 4br house boat with amazing service and the food was delicious and not spicy for my family from Spain :) I highly recommend them and they even cooked the fresh crab and tiger prawns we bought along the boat ride.

Very nice and we'll behaved staff. Good quality food. Very good interior and well furnished bed rooms. Very happy.
