Must take a dip in tapt kund , its naturally very hot and contains medicinal properties and water is said to cure different types of skin allergies

It's a ritual to take a holy dip in the taptkund ie., hot water springs, before entering the Badrinath temple. The whole mountain range is in the seismiczone, so there are hot springs. The water is very soothing and has healing powers. It's very auspicious, so everyone must take a bath.

Hiii...This place is very well known for hot water spring water. There are two kund in Badrinath first one is Tapta kund and other one is Narad kund. Here in these two kunds people used to take bath before the Darshan of Lord Badrivishal. This is very good place to take bath and water of this kund is very clean and continuously flowing. There are two separate place for men and women for taking bath and changing their cloths. People comes here on foot and those who are very old or unable to walk there are sone pitthoos who carry them on nominal prices...Thank you very much...🙂🙂🙂

I have visited this temple in 2022 October I suggest everyone have to visit this place in there life. Will try to visit again this place🤗

Warm water in a cold place.
Situated near badrinath temple.
You can take a dip or can bath here..
One of the best feelings to bathe in this warm water in cold temperatures..
But make sure not to take a dip directly to avoid burns.

Science have failed in knowing how the very hot water is flowing in Tapt kund whereas when the temperature is 1 or 2 degree celcius.

There are two Kundas available to bathe.
At times it is very hot and seems as if artificially warmed.

But it is natural.

Two Kundas for men side by side located a few feet apart. And one is for women.

You can pitch your tent near the small Kunda the one which is under open sky and adjacent to river.

The tent can be pitched only for night (from 1 to 5 early in the morning as the shopping market takes place after 5.

You can wash your clothes but "should not use soap or shampoo".

Tapta Kund is A hot water Swimming pool just below Badrinath Dhm Temple.

Divine in heaven feeling must take holy bath before Darshan to main temple. Really hot water do not forget to take Mug for bath, enter slowly take time to get in to tapt kund. Relaxing and devine feeling.

Taptakund, as the name suggests is a hot water spring, which lies between Badrinath shrine and Alaknanda River. This thermal spring is situated in the Badrinath temple in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. The Taptakund is a natural hot water spring, having 45 degrees temperature.
Believed to be the abode of Lord Agni or the fire god, the Tapt Kund lies in close proximity to the Badrinath shrine. Devotees often take a dip in this natural thermal spring before going to worship at the temple. It is a popular belief that taking a bath in the water of this kund will relieve devotees of their sins.

In this tapta kund, the water is always above 35 degree Celsius. Tapta Kund is near to main Badrinathji Temple. It is miraculous that the water is hot here and water at Alaknanda River flowing sideby is too cold. People usually takes bath here. Many small hotels, therefore, does not have bathrooms for this reason.

One must take a dip here before going for darshan of lord Badri Narayan. Here Lord Agni Dev himself is present in the form of Hot water. Once you take a dip, you feel absolutely refreshed and relaxed. The cleansing done here is skin deep.

This kund has hot water which is totally natural, this fact is absolutely amazing.

It is situated very near the Badrinath temple so that devotees can take a dip before entering the holy shrine as it is a common ritual. It is located between the Alaknanda River and the holy shrine of Badrinath. Tourists can reach Tapt Kund via NH-58 from Rishikesh to Badrinath.
