Awesome experience at Tala Gate of Bandhavgarh National park . Probability of seeing Royal Bengal Tiger in this area is very high as area is one grassy highland. Guides and gypsy Drivers are extremely experienced and highly motivated to spot a tiger. They were also highly confident about a tiger sighting. Highly recommended place to spot a tiger.

This is the main gate to the Bandhavgarh's national park in India.
Inside the park you can see a lot of wildlife like deers, monkeys, birds, and with a lot of luck the tiger.
Best time for a visit at afternoon

It's a must visit for every potential Tiger sightseeing safaris. There is every possibility of tiger sighting here. Other than that various other animals and birds are here.

Very systematic arrangements.... Experienced guides and naturalists. They seem to know the jungle like the back of their palm. Sighted tigers in four out of five safaris.

We spotted the magnificent tiger. Hence 5 stars. 😁 Tala zone is beautifully dense forest. We saw many birds, bear pug marks, deer, wild boar, dancing peacock, jackal etc. The zone has a good tiger population. But then it is completely by luck that you will spot a tiger. We were lucky enough to watch 3 male tigers in only one safari. It is recommended that you book more than 1 safari and if possible in different zones. This will increase your probability of tiger sighting. Also if possible, visit the place in Feb-March. Otherwise it gets very hot.

Now a days it is very difficult to locate tiger in tala... Do visit magadhi... its always better option...

Best place to see tiger. Here tiger density is highest in India. Saw tiger in all of 5-6 tours except in the first one, in 1998. Morning trips have most chance of seeing the tiger, and even trips are longer for same price. Morning-5 hours, evening- 3 hours.

Now a days its getting too much crowded. So don't go before booking safari tickets online. Otherwise there are only 3 tickets offline at the counter that too you have to book an evening before.

Picture perfect jungle here with evergreen saal trees along with mahua, mango, amaltas and others. Enjoyed the safari here. The bandhavgarh fort is also located in this zone. Sheshashaiya is a place with rock cut lying idol of Lord Vishnu on Sheshanaga, a huge Shivalinga and also Lord Brahma.

Its a great natural treat and you would read a lot about it at various places so I won't go into those details but of-course few tips:
1. Go there to enjoy nature, without expectations (if possible) of the Big Cat glimpse
2. Be very careful while you are booking safari, its very painful and expensive to add/edit names of traveler in a booked safari. If you want to replace any person or add another person in your group, it will cost you the full safari amount.
3. Break-up of one safari cost is : Govt charges (1300 INR for Magdhi & Khitouli / 2300 INR for Tala) + Vehicle charges (2000 INR for a 6 seater Gypsy) + Guide charges (300 INR).
4. Chances of spotting Big Cats are maximum during summers. If you get unseasonal rains, you are really unlucky.
5. If you have spare time your resort staff may push you for a trip to 'Mantri Ji ka Plot' and will quote approx 2500 INR. That place is just good for a wild ride and chances of spotting any other animal except deers are almost none, so its not worth spending more than 1500 INR.
