The Peralassery Sri Subrahmanya Temple is considered as an ancient temple, it is popularly believed that this place of worship was built by Lord Rama himself. The presiding deity of the temple is the serpent form of Lord Subrahmanya. Beautiful temple with a silent ambience about it.The pond adjacent is an architectural marvel. It also has so many fish which you can see in the clear water and which nudge against your feet when you stand on the steps. Both places are very clean and well maintained. No pujaris pushing you around. You pray as you wish.We were lucky to view theyyam over there.Made the visit complete.

Hello everyone,

Are you looking for a peaceful and mind refreshing devotional temple in kannur?... Here it is... One of them in kannur... (Kannur to Peralassery temple approx 15 KM, if you are coming by local bus you need to walk approx 900 metre from bustop).

It is one of the religious places in Kannur city and tourism place that do provide a peaceful environment which they are supposed to. Temple is quite large and marvellous in architecture. The main offering is mutta (egg) and sarppabali.
What made me excited was the temple pond rather than the temple. Its just a beautiful sight that can please your eyes. The architecture is really brilliant and marvellous. The pond is filled with fishes so you can enjoy a fish spa. This rectangular pond has an impressive
architecture with countless steps leading into the
pool from all the four sides.

Parking for vehicles may face difficulty because of the limited parking area and sometimes there may be lots of visitors to this temple (parking is free).

Temple Timings: Morning 4.00 am - 12.30 pm &
Evening 4.30 pm - 8.00 pm.

A very peaceful ambiance. Has previously been used in many movies . The pond of the temple is a popular place for wedding photography.
Talking about the temple, its a very welcoming atmosphere. Calm and silent place. The workship time is well explained. Its mandatory for male devotees to take off their top before entering the naalambalam.
Proper instructions are provided on how to and how not to behave.

Its a huge temple 🛕. And a mind refreshing place.
