Overall, the hotel was a great experience, with the owner being extremely helpful and the amenities being excellent.The room was fantastic, clean, and ideal for staying close to Mahatma Gandhi Road, Gangtok.

Being from Bangladesh, I can confidently say that 'Hotel Shangrilla' is an amazing choice for staying.
Absolutely humble and polite gentleman, also the owner of this hotel, Mr. Keshub Thapa assisted us in numerous ways to make our stay cosy and enjoyable.

MG marg being about 30 steps away from the hotel is a big advantage.
This hotel is especially for the people that prioritize necessity rather than luxury, as all the basic room services are top-notch but luxurious services mayn't be available.

About the hotel Shangrila it is approx 30 sec walk upwards from M.G Road. The rooms are simple, subtle and clean with basic features and affordable budget. For hospitality and warmth alone it deserves a 5 star.

We are experienced travellers and senior citizens. We never look for fancy hotels. We had an amazing stay at Shangrila on Tibet Road .The owner, Mr. Thapa is ever smiling, very honest and extremely helpful person. We were stuck in Gangtok for the sudden floods in Sikkim. He helped us plan our return travel. The rooms are basic but neat and clean. The location of the hotel is just a few steps away from the MG ROAD. There is a steep climb for the neighbouring hotels… ... Just go for 'Shangrila' if you are looking for a clean and comfortable room. ... Thank you Mr Thapa for everything.

I think Hotel Shanggrila will be great chooice for gangtok. This hotel room was very reasonable price, hotel service was good. hotel location was near M G Mark this is also a plus point. Sepcialy thaks to Keshub Thapa for giving us support in every way and he is a great man and very polite. if you find a hotel which is budget and location friendly i think it will be best chooice for you.

This hotel is very close to MG Market and very cheap compared to other hotels. Very clean and environment is very calm. Owner's behavior is very good. He is very helpful and we are very happy. We were 5 friends for 2 nights.

One can't ask for more if you receive such high grades of hospitality from the owner himself. The location is top notch, the interiors are soothing and you receive every basic amenities which you require for a quality travel accommodation.
The cherry on the top is the owner, talk with him regarding your requirements and he will sort them out for you. Great place overall!!

The owner Mr.Keshub was very honest about everything they offer and everything that they don't offer too, No false promises 😊 And his behavior was just so nice.

The rooms are very clean and very spacious.
The Bathroom is also very clean and big, and of course it has a geyser.

They cleaned the rooms properly everyday.

One of the best hotels near MG Marg, Gangtok. Located just beside the MG Marg. Such a clean and cozy accommodation with every facility on a reasonable budget. The rooms were supremely comfortable. The accommodations were immaculate and more over the hospitality of the owner was amazing. He was so kind hearted and always took care of his guests.
Heavily recommended. Accommodation is great but the hospitality of the owner will amaze you. The warm reception and wonderful hospitality he extended to me during my stay was just great.

USP: 30 sec downhill to MG marg, neat and clean room and toilet with basic features like bed, wardrobe, table, geyser and a very well behaved, cooperative owner cum manager.

We had an amazing time at Hotel Shangri-La. The Host Mr. Thapa is very kind and extremely helpful. He went beyond his way to help us plan our stay and travel. The rooms were neat and tidy and quite budget friendly. The location of the hotel as well is just a few steps away from the MG ROAD. Overall we had a lovely experience staying here.

The rooms are clean, airy and comparatively affordable, the service was awesome and the owner was soo helpful and handsome I must say. He can fix your whole Sikkim tour plan with a very affordable price along with good drivers. You guys can check in anytime you visit.

Hotel Shangrila, Tibet Road is one of the best places to stay in Gangtok. The place is pretty nearby to MG Marg with renowed restaurants in close vicinity. Keshub Thapa, the owner, is one of the best people around. His warm welcome and amicable attitude deserve special mention. Rooms are tidy with necessary amenities that come in reasonable price. You will feel like home while staying and visiting the sight scenes. We had a great time here. Thank you!!

Excellent budget hotel for people looking for a budget friendly stay around MG Marg. The hotel is a stone's throw away from MG Marg. The rooms all have geysers and 24 hrs running water. Above all the manager was very well behaved and looked after all our needs and made sure our stay was very pleasant.

It is only a minute away from MG Marg. The owner of this hotel is very sweet and humble. He has helped us with the bookings for sightseeing and gave contact number of cab drivers. The rooms were very neat and clean , the bathroom is quite spacious. Hot water was provided whenever required. Good wi-fi.

Highly recommended as a budget hotel. We had an awesome three nights stay. :)
