Booked a trek to Goecha La (March 2024) - very good accommodation before the trek and a fantastically organised and led trek into the mountains. Food was great, equipment very good and the staff were incredible. A must do if visiting Sikkim!

I had one of the best experience on this trek. Big thanks to our trek leader, Sanjeet Limbu. He is one of the best trek leader I ever got. Took care of all our needs, made sure that we were eating properly, was warm while sleeping. Look after our needs and was always there if faced any problem or needed any sort of help. Despite being so young; had really good demand with all of us and made our trekking experience just amazing.
I even remember, he asked us to take sun bath and served us tea and biscuits at the top. These small small efforts really made the difference and I am really glad that we had him as trek leader for this trek. And he even taught us small sentences in nepali. Kasto hunhunza, moramro cho, tapai 😂. Malai maza ondusa 😂😂. He was super chill and entertaining. Perfect trek leader.

And big thanks to our kitchen team, who served us amazing food. It felt like we sat in some restaurant and food was served to us by head chef.
Had lot many special dishes during 90kms of trek. Could have never expected that. And even their special dinner at Tshoka campsite (mater panner, kurkuri bhindi and that Cake 😍)

Our 8-day trek in January 2024 with Red Panda was an unforgettable experience. They arranged everything for us, from airport pickup for the long drive to Yuksom, all meals and accommodation for the days either side of the trek, as well as the trek itself, for very good value. Red Panda provided experienced guides, porters and cooks for our journey through the Himalayas and we were indulged with amazing meals throughout. Despite the intense cold and the altitude sickness we suffered, they looked after us very well, always allowing us to walk at our own pace and supplying us with tea and hot water bottles to improve our comfort. We would really recommend Red Panda to anyone wishing to have an organised trek in the Himalayas, just make sure to bring lots of warm clothes!

I'm a spontanous traveller, never having a complete plan in advance. When coming to Yuksom, the Gurung family welcomed me to their homestay, where i got to know the traditional lifestyle in this mountain village. They served me great local food, cooked from what their organic family farm produces. I got to know very special culinarics like traditional home brewed beer and Sauerkraut like fermented cale called Gurung. Dhanraj made it even possible to do a 4 days trek to Dzongri spontaneously in the off-season, after some centimeters of snow covered the landscape. Tarun, who grew into trekking from childhood was guiding me with a lot of knowledge on the place and culture as well as sensitivity on my needs. I was hosted with great authentic fresh cooked food in the mountains while trekking. I always felt very comfortable while my trek with the red panda tours, enjoyed the beautiful mountain views, great food and local culture and would definitely recommend booking your trek with this experienced company!

Red Panda are the best trekking company in Yuksom. I done the goechala trek in 6 nights and 7 days. The guides Tarun and Phonz were brilliant, taking time to stay with the slower hikers, providing us with lots and lots of great food, snacks, endless tea. All done with great humour and patience. The tents were top quality and extra blankets were available if needed. Can't recommend them enough.

I did Goechla Trek with Red Panda, and had the most amazing experience! I was introduced to Tarun, a knowledgeable and well experienced guide. He knew everything there was to know about the area, and how to give the tourist the best possible experience. Red Panda also welcomed me into their home and treated me as family. I am very fortunate to have been introduced to this company, as they have given me many happy, and valuable experiences to take home with me!

Although I didn't trek with Red Panda Tours (yet), I had the chance to have the owner's son Tarun (who also works at Red Panda) as a guide for the Goecha La trek. Tarun was a fantastic guide, he gave a lot of interesting explanations to me - not only about the local nature but also about the local history, politics, religion, and so much more! I really enjoyed hiking with him and his team, and felt honored when he invited me to his home to meet his family (incl. his dad Dhan, the founder of Red Panda). Thank you for all the discussions and insights, the laughter and sweat, the great meals and the professional guidance!

Most genuine trip organizer in Sikkim! The Goechala trek was awesome and I loved the food most. Through out the trek we got momos, soup, popcorn and many other delicious foods as well. The behavior of the guides were so good. Without hesitation, I'll recommend Red Panda!

I could not have imagined a better experience! This was a bit of a spontaneous trip for me, I joined a friend on her trek. Tarun and his family were absolutely incredible, from lending me all the equipment I needed, to welcoming us into their gorgeous home. The trek was so much fun! It would not have been the same without Tarun, he cared for us perfectly, every step of the way, and we definitely could never go hungry! Honestly, such a memorable experience because of this family, I couldn't recommend them more. Sabbaba!

I went with four friends to Sikkim for the 8-day trek from Yuksom to Goechala. Four more people was integrated within our expedition. Overall, I had a great experience with Red Panda. Guides, cooks and poorters were extremely helpful and friendly. Food was really good and abundant. Sleeping bags were warm enough. I think that anyone with a minimum preparation and appropriate equipment will enjoy this experience with Red Panda. The trek itself is just amazing.

It was my first Sikkim tour and it becomes immortal in my mind. All the credit goes to Red Panda tour and travels. I'll recommend everyone to tour with them and I wanna join again if I come to Sikkim.

This was the best-organized trekking-tour I have ever been to. From the very start to the end everything worked out very well and you get the best experience for a pretty good prize. The owner is a great guy who can also help with getting to Yuksom and back to your next destination. Our guide Milan was also very nice and helpful. If you wanna do the Goecha-La trekking tour, you should definitely do it with Red Panda. I have never regretted that decision. You can't organize it any better.

We took the 8 days tour to Goechala. We got a guide, a cook a porter and yaks that carry all our stuff. The service during the trek was great and the service provided by Red Panda before and after the trek was good and friendly.

My husband and I just finished the 7 night, 8 day Goecha-La trek with Red Panda and it surpassed our expectations in every way. As it is nearing the end of the season, we were just a group of 2 people with a Guide, 2 Cooks and Yak Porter, all of whom worked tirelessly to make sure we were taken care of. Nothing was too much trouble and we were always greeted by smiles.

The most outstanding thing about the service was the food. We ate 3 delicious and plentiful meals a day as well as being served tea in bed every morning and a mid-afternoon snack. Throughout the trek we were served MoMos, Dal Bhat, Pancakes, Curries, Warming Soups, Popcorn, Pasta, French Fries, Pizza and even a farewell cake on the final night - all miraculously cooked on one tiny camping stove!

The scenery along the way is absolutely breathtaking. In fact, I would go as far as saying that it is the most beautiful place I have ever been to. And we were lucky enough to spend a morning at Simiti Lake and watch the sunrise at Goecha La without another person or group around. Prior to this we were trekking in the Annarpurnas in Nepal, which was fantastic, but this trek can not be beaten in terms of the solitude it provides.

However, the trek is not for the faint-hearted! The distances are not long each day, but the cold and altitude make it quite physically challenging. We stayed in both tents and trekking huts, which were very basic. It was so cold even in November that the streams along the way were partially frozen. Red Panda provide very good quality sleeping bags as well as hot water bottles every evening. Knowing we had a warm bed to go to every night made the week much more comfortable.

I would not hesitate to recommend Red Panda. He is very experienced and the whole operation runs like a well-oiled machine. On top of this he is a lovely guy - he even invited us for dinner with his family and helped us with onward travel plans to Darjeeling after the trek.

Personally, this was a good trek to the pass, mine was a 9 day trek but could have probably done it in 8 days, regardless the crew who handled the "Joes" (Yak and Cow mix), the cooks, and the guides were absolutely great. Everyone, including the group was great.

I think the people who end up together in a group can change the impression of the trek alot including the weather and neither of them can be under the company's control so it is good to keep that in mind.

Good service at economical price. Others are charging much more than Red Panda for same trek.

It was an excellent experience to trek to dzongri. The guide was very helpful. The cook was very good. The food quality was also good. I will definitely recommend you to go with red panda if you are trekking to dzongri or goechela.
