Tathagata Tsal - Sleeping Buddha Statue

Buddha Park is wonderful place to visit for all tourists in Ravangla. Like the rest of Ravangla it's serenity is unmatched. The government had taken great care to nurture the attractions of the place. Off course it has it's own flavour of natural beauty to boast.

The Buddha park named as Tathagata Tsal is mesmerizing. This place is so peace and beautiful. Need to take entry tickets for getting in also you can take vehicle in rent for 30mins to go around the park as the place is huge, specially for people who have difficulty in walking.

Dedicated to Lord Budhha this park is located at Ravangla and offers great view of the Kanchandzongha range with a large statue of Gautam Buddha. The life and journey of Budhha is painted and narrated inside the structure. There is a museum also but found it closed. The majestic view of both the Buddha statue and the Himalaya is enough to blow one's mind. At night when the lights of the park are lit it, the whole ambience seems out of the world.

=> The Tathagata Tsal popularly known as Buddha Park is situated near Ravangla in South Sikkim at a distance of around 85km from Gangtok.
=> Its construction was started in 2006 and completed in 2013 by the joint efforts of the government and people of Sikkim featuring a 130ft high statue of the Buddha which was consecrated on 25th March, 2013 by the 14th Dalai Lama to mark the 2550th anniversary of the birth of Gautama Buddha.
=> The elegant statue of Buddha can be seen crystal clear from a far distance which looks much more stunning in a cloudy climate.
=> You can use the facility of battery operated car starting from the gate to the top with the capacity of 5-6 people at the cost of Rs. 300/-.

# The beautiful Cho Djo lake surrounded by lush green forest;
# The spacious pathways to enjoy a leisurely stroll;

The paintings, the statues... Everything is awesome. The writings inside the monastery are extremely informative and interesting and i would definitely recommend coming here. Btw you can take a car to go straight to the monastery

Well maintained place. This place is bless by his holiness Dalai lama.The relict of Buddha from various places are kept here. Lakhs of tourist visit this place in sikkim.

The Ravishing Ravangla,,well decorated garden with the Buddha statue,,you need to purchase tickets for entering,,also can hire battery car for roaming inside the park,,they will pick you up and drop,, toilet is near the entrance gate,,

Mesmerizing view of Lord Buddha with kanchunjungha at the backdrop with cold Breeze at 7700 ft in ravangla .Best time to visit would be summer and winters in snow fall.Avoid in monsoon season as it will be cloudy and kanchunjungha will not be visible

Peaceful place.....i would recommend the battery car ride that costs 300rs for a car(seating 5-6 People.The Monastery inside the Statue is also great(no photography allowed)

One of the best Buddha temple in India and it is located in very nice place in Sikkim

Absolute must visit if you are travelling to West Sikkim. Afternoon time of around 3.30 would be perfect. You can spend 1-2 hours inside and by the time you come out lights will be switched on.

Beautiful place of Budha, gives the experience divine buddisam

The Parantha was well made, and goes perfectly with that spicy chutney they serve.
The momos made me go crazy to order three plates one after the other. I am a Momo Person okay?! 🤗
They were sanitizing each and every table and chai after every customer and the staff are very polite. Just place your order and wait for them to get your food there. It's a Home kind of kitchen, so they may take their time, but for the time being, hear that constant hymn and calm down in this beautiful peaceful place.

This is the best place for visit around Ravangla. It is a park with all amenities like food stalls, toilet, kids activities and more. You get to walk on ramps or go up and down the stars to reach the giant Buddha statue. The place is picturesque and has a grandeur of its own. Recently they have started eco friendly rode from gate to the top for people with difficulty in walking. This is a really helpful service for old people and the route to the top is quite a trail. Highly recommended tourist place around Ravangla.

Tathagata Tsal, or better known as the Buddha Park of Ravangla is a beautiful park situated in the Ravangla (Rabong) in South Sikkim district, Sikkim. The main highlight of the park is the magnificent statue of Buddha installed as a centrepiece with a height of 130-foot (40 m).
