Chungda Hidden Homestay Yuksom

A big thank you to Chungda Sir and his family for a fantastic stay. It’s truly home away from home. Loved the place and awesome food served. Stayed here for 6 days and It felt staying very close to nature.

Such a beautiful and nice homestay. The lovely village where you can feel the serenity and tranquility. Lovely food I ever had there. Chungda sir and Madam are very cooperative. Madam's cooking is so delicious 😋. Just like Home 🏡

Chungda Bhai and Bhabhi were very good, cordially, lovely, mixing. Nicely gel and give a family feeling to enjoy the Sikkimis culture and nature. We really enjoyed the stay.

It was peaceful, friendly and everyone was lovely. Food was great. The room had geyser and enjoyed the weather and solitude a lot.

We stayed at Chungda Hidden Homestay in Yuksom during 29-31 Oct 2022. Mr and Mrs Chungdah were very gracious and kind hosts. We are vegetarian and Mrs Chungda served us very delicious meals with warm smile. My kids also enjoyed the stay at the property. Mr Chungda is an experienced hike/tour guide and can offer very valuable advise during trip. I highly recommend staying at this property.

We were there in the month of late Feb.' 23 . We feel there a homely atmosphere for superb behaviour of Chungda ji and his family. Food were delicious and moreover it seems that our beloved relatives are making food and served for us . I recommend everyone to visit lovely place Yuksom and Chungda Hidden Homestay.

I stayed with Chungda family for two nights during my recent Sikkim trip in Nov 2022. They are very welcoming and ensured a pleasant stay. The meals cooked by Mr and Mrs Chungda are scrumptious and I got good guidance on how to best use my time while in Yuksom when it came to exploring the local sights, Dubdi Monastery and a short hike to hanging bridge at the entrance of Kanchenjunga national park.

Tip: It is a very peaceful accommodation, however, just like any other place in India, street dogs get loud at night and there may be some noisy guests staying at the same time in another room, so if you sleep light, please do pack earplugs.

Yuksam is one of the most beautiful offbeat places in Sikkim with mesmerising scenic beauty and breath-taking landscape amid the mountains. And if you are looking for a place to stay & enjoy the nature for a few days escaping the monotony of life then Chungda Hidden Homestay happens to be a cherry on the top. Location is perfect. Rooms are clean and tidy, well maintained washrooms equipped with geysers and the service of Mr Chungda & his family is top notch. Their warm gesture makes you feel at home and truly justifies why it is called a homestay. Food is delicious and the vegetables are purely organic. Mr Chungda is a very kind and helpful person and has arranged our whole tour in a bare minimum cost. His hospitality and affection towards us is something that will always be in our hearts and we look forward to go back soon.

We've had an awesome stay at Chungda Homestay. Mr. Chungda managed to organise a trek for as within just one day. As a former trekking Guide, he could give us very helpful advices for the trekking in West Sikkim.
The Homestay it self its situated at the upper End of Yuksom Village, from where there is a nice hike to Dubdi Monastery. The Rooms are big and relatively new and we've had very tasty and traditional dishes.

I stayed here for 3 days, it was very nice friendly stay, Family running homestay is caring & soft spoken, Rooms & bathroom is very clean, fresh tasty food was served, The place is peaceful in the lap of Mother Nature
I’m 59year old lady & it was my solo trip for plant exploration Mr Chungada help me out of my way & taken care of me like my own brother would, He has also arranged car for airport, I can’t thank him enough !!
It’s like home away from home!!

Pleasant stay with helpful and cooperative host.A beautiful homestay surrounding with serenity at the lap of hill.Visit this place only if one wishes to enjoy the picturesque hills , monasterie and falls of Kanchan jungha Nationale park by lots of walking and feel the adventures of trecking.

Beautiful place with such homely vibes.
The place is situated around 100m from where the goechela trek starts.
We spent around 9 days in there place,the owner and his family were very welcoming.
Looking forward to visit very soon.

We stayed Chungda Hidden Homstay on 5th Nov 22. It was a wonderful experience to stay in this nice homestay. Excellent hospitality from Mr. and Mrs. Chungda. They welcome us with KHADA. Delicious fresh food, nice room in nice location. Walking distance to Dubdi Monastery. Nobody will be disappointed to visit Yuksom just for this homestay and Dubdi Monastery

A nice home stay to stay in for a week or so. owner is great and friendly. The food provided is also pretty nice.
Overall, a great place to stay while in Yuksom.

Just got back from Chungda Hidden Homestay in Yuksom and I must say it was a really wonderful experience. The family was very warm and welcoming. It has nice rooms and great food. We had both breakfast and dinner there, of which breakfast was amazing and dinner was good too. If you are visiting Yuksom, you can definitely give it a try.

I took a rest here for two days after returning from my Goecha La Trek. Very nicely arranged homestay. They cooked delicious food for me every day. Everyone is very good. They are very helpful. I was in a very nice room upstairs for two days. I wanted to spend two more days but I didn't have time. I even talked to many Bengali tourists there. I listened to the story of their journey for a while. It was a very good stay there ❤❤

We had stayed there in 14-16 Apr 2022. It was a amazing experience staying with them. Chungda ji and his family has given us a lot of memories to remember. From stay to food each and everything was great. The hospitality they provide is required to be mentioned.
