Sikkim Sherpa Home Stay

Our stay at Sikkim Sherpa Homestay was serene and blissful. We stayed in the newly constructed, cosy cottages nestled in the hills of upper Uttarey. These cottages offer a pristine view of the mountains.

But it was Mr Pema and his family's hospitality that made our stay absolutely perfect. They took care of our every need. The food served to us was fresh off the farms and totally organic. I'd like to personally thank Mr Pema for arranging transport when we had to leave for Siliguri on account of an emergency. If you want to experience the warmth of your home while holidaying in Sikkim, you must surely visit Sikkim Sherpa Homestay!

We had a fantastic stay and three day trek to Kalijar - lovely clean rooms, wonderful people and excellent food. Highly recommend!

Nice experience staying at this homestay. The staffs are very cordial and well behaved. The tranquility of Uttarey can best be felt while staying at this homestay. They also arrange treks. A great place to stay.

An excellent opportunity to see the life and community of the Sherpa's living in the Himalayas. Our stay with Sherpa Pema and his family was very memorable. Fresh home cooked food with local organic produce. Idyllic views from their home towards the mountains.

The home is exactly as described and posted on their website with no surprises. Wonderful community of Sherpa homes with shared kitchens and public spaces.

They also provided us with the Trek Tour upto Mainebass Waterfall, which was very much worth the effort and time. The camp site was also well staffed and provided for all our requirements. 👍👌

The hospitality was outstanding. From teas and coffees served constantly to the food, nothing was lacking. The room was more than adequate.

We had wonderful experience at uttarey. Excellent location. Home stay were very cozy and the foods were yummy. One can trek upto the nearest Kagya Gumpha, Mainbass Water Falls etc. Great hospitality provided by pema ji along with the other member. I will definitely go there for the singalila top trek.

We stayed at Sikkim Sherpa Homestay (owned by Pema Sherpa) back in November 2018. We were there for 2 nights before our Phoktey Dara, Singalila Top and Phalut Trek.

Perma Sherpa and his wife are lovely hosts and made us feel very well looked after. We decided to go to Uttarey spontaneously but Perma got everything organized for a 3day trek to Singalila ridge within a day. No need to organize your trek from Gangtok or Darjeeling.

Ur perfect getaway to a tiny country side of SIKKIM (west)..that shares border with Nepal..cozy home stay at the foot hills of the Himalayas namely uttarey village to a warm Sherpa hospitality..

Excellent quality of food and rooms, well behaviour of staff. Over and above, nice outside view from rooms. Must visit again...
