On the way from Chitrakote to Barsoor lies this beautiful place called Mendri Ghoomar.
Excellent ambience, very clean.

The local boys have set up a parking lot and charge minimal amount for it.

Photography is allowed, there is a barbed wire fencing for safety.

The best part about this place is that you can listen to sound of water falling from the height and flowing down the valley.

If not more, this place is as beautiful as Munnar.

Actually it's real name is mendri ghumar so Tamar ghumar and mendri ghumar are both located on same place but to see the Tamar ghumar waterfall you will have to go lill further, mendri ghumar is a highest hill mountain area and the view is most beautiful from there you can see far of mountain ranges from there it's beautiful so about Tamar ghumar waterfall it's one of the best and highest waterfall in bastar region and when the river is getting full and falls then this waterfall is worth seeing and center of attraction that's why this place is famous and the nature's beauty makes this amezing waterfall but the lack of knowledge and info about this water fall and only because in the rain it becomes beautiful that's why few people know about this beautiful place so altogether this place is an amazing tourism spot and whenever you came in bastar you should to see this..Thank you

Mendri Ghumar waterfall is seasonal and natural. It is located near chitrakoot and tamdaghumar falls, height of fall and lushed green valley makes this place eye catchy. Only during monsoon one can witness this fall during summer water gushes slowly and calmly so best time to visit is during monsoon.

You can judge this place seeing the photographs... It totally reminds you of tiger point at Lonavala.... Very beautiful scenes all around

This is one of the crazy place we have in Bastar. Extremely peaceful at early morning. It is also called as Valley of Fog. Waterfall is not for the year but valley view is awe inspiring. One can also go for the trek but always take help of local guides or any agency

Also know as Taamra Gumar Waterfall and one of the most serene places I have ever been to. A must visit place if you are planning to visit Chitrakoot waterfalls. It is just around 10 Kms from Chitrakoot. Go ahead and grab the calmness of the nature here. Be careful of the ghats though. Enjoy.
