Tamdaghumar Waterfall Jagdalpur

Loved the view. Came here after visiting the Chitrakote falls, following google maps and it turned out to be a wise decision.
It's a bit dangerous as the point which gives the best views of complete waterfall has no barricade.
Just be careful and you have mesmerizing views of a serene waterfall.
Worth a visit. We visited in late December and there was adequate water. Plenty of parking space.

Best place to take a bath and have fun with friends and family , you can cook here only in less flow of water otherwise not. Be careful while bathing water level is low now but don't jump in it , it has rocks beneath it .

Located just 45 km away from Jagdalpur town of Bastar district, Chattishgarh and very near to Mendri Ghumar and Chitrokote waterfalls, this beautiful falls gives its best view in monsoon season. The scenic beauty and solitude of this place is just mesmerizing that attracts so much tourists to visit and spend some times around it.

Very beautiful waterfall. It is a must visit waterfall while you are at Chattisgarh. Though it is little far from the main town of Jagdalpur, the place is worth to visit.

Thamada Ghumar Falls.. not meant for kids especially. No borders on the edges. Dangerous view but very scenic. Should be very careful.Thamada means Crocodile and Ghumar means waterfall in Chhattisgarhi Language so this fall is full of crocodiles and also it is in interiors in dense forest. If you are visiting Chitrakote Falls you can go visit this fall too from there only.

•Tamdaghumar waterfall is one of the waterfall located at or near jagdalpur that one should visit definitely!!
•Others being- Chitrakoot waterfall(The OG), Teerathgadh, mendrighumar, bijakasa.
•Tamdaghumar located on the way of chitrakoot fall in mardum village, dist bastar
•Roads to tamdaghumar is good and bearable as they not quite cemented but you can reach the destination easily.
•they will charge you for the parking which is around 50rs(by the village committee)
•near the parking you can get a shop where you can have snacks or garam bhajiya(aloo bhajiya, pyaaz bhajiya)
•There is trekking facility also available which is chargeable 100rs per person and it will take 1 hr to complete the trek (you can see a beautiful view of the waterfall from below)
•then you finally arrive the spot and you will be literally amazed by the picturesque and scenic beauty all around..you can play with the water there and can just sit there and feel the sound of water.. It is the most important thing I think to just sit there and to feel that sound❤❤

Please don't be too much excited to have a picture of this falls as the best view comes with a lot of risk. There's a reserved view point for clicking pictures... So, please don't try to get the best picture at the cost of your life.

The Mendri Ghumar Waterfalls is a seasonal and natural waterfall located at around 44 kilometres to the west of Jagdalpur, in Bastar district in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh..It is very close to Chitrakote and Tamda Ghumar Waterfalls.. The height of the fall is almost 70 meters with a lush green surrounding and eye-catching places. The interesting part is that the Mendri Ghumar Waterfall forms its best during the rainy seasons. The water collected from the rains, continuously flows through the hill thus making it an eye-catching waterfall. It is surrounded by lush green forest on both its sides, making it one of the most well-liked ecotourism destinations in the state..
The Mendri Ghumar Waterfall has its own versions, during the summer and monsoons. The waterfall over flows during the monsoons, wherein the water gushes slowly and calmly during the summers…it’s best place for family picnic 🧺

Very windy place. Bastar's own grand canyon, with lot of greenery and beautiful waterfall. Beautiful tourism location.

7-8 kilometer away from chitrakot... just visit the place with beautiful natural view...

Off the beaten track... Not a very grand or majestic waterfall, however if one seeks tranquility, one is far more likely to enjoy this place than Chitrakoot.

Simply BEAUTIFUL. This place is at its best during Rains. We explored it in month of Aug, and it was truly mesmerizing. Lush green forest and a beautiful milky water fall in between. Its hardly aroung 8 kms from Chitrakoot falls. I found it better than Chitrakoot, purely because its still untouched natural beauty.

Cautions -
1. No barriers or safe manmade arrangement there for waterfall. So be alert.

2. Very remotely located, only some local villagers might be seen to ask route. Don't expect road signage here.

3.Approch road till this place is very bad. Small car should be avoid due to bumpy roads.Bikes and big SUVs are best.

But all the pain is justified once you visit the Tamadgumar Waterfalls.

Must to be visited in Chattisgarh, if you what to see untouched nature.

Beautiful waterfall in dense forest

Beautiful View. A must visit if you are around during the Rains. The roads leading are in good conditions. A great picnic spot.
P.S. The cliff is straight down and it dries up in the summer so it won't be that much of a view then.

The most underrated waterfall of Chhattisgarh. Little off-road on route to Barsur from Chitrakot Waterfalls. Less crowded and you can spend quality time with your closed ones. You cannot step down to the plunge pool as it is not easily accessible. But, there is plenty of water and flow to enjoy before it edges down.

Very pleasant, cinematic, peaceful place .Must visit, Near Chitrakoot
