Known as Battisa Mandir, this is an ancient protected monument located in Barsur village of Geedam Tehsil of Dantewada district. The Mandap of the temple is supported by 32 pillars, which gives the temple it's name. The architecture of the temple is very stunning as the temple houses two "garbha-griha" with two Shiva-Linga. The temple was constructed in 11th -12th century during the rule of Chhindak Nagwanshi Kings.

According to the inscriptions found .The name “Battisa” in Hindi literally translates to “32 pillared temple.” This town is a treasure trove of archaeological wonders, and one of its prominent temples is dedicated to Lord Shiva. According to inscriptions found in the temple, there are two pavilions where the king and queen separately worshiped Lord Shiva. Within these pavilions, two sacred Shiva Lingas are enshrined, and a statue of Nandi, the bull associated with Shiva, is placed in the front pavilion. The Battisa Temple holds a significant place as a revered pilgrimage site in Chhattisgarh, known for its unique appearance and ancient sculptures. It stands out as one of the rare Shiva temples with two garbhagrihas (sanctum sanctorum), making it an exceptional religious site in the region. Barsur is located on the banks of Indravati River. It is a unique Temple having two sanctum sanctorum. The Temple is protected monuments in Chattisgarh declared by Archaeological Survey of India

Located in Barsoor, this is an ancient monument protected by the Archeological Survey of India.

There are 32 pillars supporting the temple hence the name ‘बत्तीसा’. Each of this pillars signifies the 32 sisters of Mata Danteshwari.

The temple is dedicated to lord shiva and there are two Garbhagrihas in it, with nandi in front at each. Surprisingly, one of the Shivling is a bit tilted.

The temple was built during the reign of Chhindak Nag Dynasty. Queen Gang Mahadevi, chief consort of King Rajbhushan Dev is said to have played a major role in its construction.

There is also a stone inscription in the temple premises, contents of which are too difficult to read. This Barsoor Stone Inscription also belongs to the queen Gang Mahadevi.

It is very uncommon to find 2 garhgrihas in any Hindu Temple, but Battisa Temple has them. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, two queens of the King Someshwar Dev built this temple. It is of 9th century, Nagvanshi era. This temple stands tall on 32 stone pillars.
