Laxmi Vilas Palace

We had an excellent stay in Bharatpur at Laxmi Vilas Palace. The rooms, ambience, service and hospitality is superb. Food is delicious and menu is prepared meticulously for each meal. The owners themselves take a lot of pain to ensure that everything is taken care of for the guests.
Simply loved staying here and would definitely revisit.

We recently went on a one-day staycation to this beautiful property.
The property is beautiful and is spread across a wide area. The place is perfect to enjoy a quiet stay with no hustle bustle of the city life. The food was amazing. The property has a swimming pool as well where you can chill for a while. The place is near to 3 hours from Delhi.

If you are planning for a staycation with your friends or family, I would definitely suggest this place to you.

Constructed as a palace in the year 1887 by Maharaja Ram Singh (the then-ruler of Bharatpur), it was converted into a heritage hotel in the year 1994. This beautiful palace portrays a magnificent fusion of Mughal and Rajput architecture with hints of the ‘Brij’ culture. For instance, the ceremonial room has been decorated with frescoes that are appealing to the eyes of any visitor. The hotel has 25 well-furnished guest rooms with all modern facilities. Apart from the comfortable stay, the palace kitchen exclusively serves delicious traditional dishes, especially, the Churma, and takes care of each guest's taste and desire.

Nice heritage hotel, well maintained, neat and clean.vary spacious rooms and suites. Food was good, quality and variety of dessert has scope of improvement. Overall very hotel, courteous staff, hats off to the owners.

Extremely convenient to visit Kewala Dev (Keoladeo) bird sanctuary

Very beautiful heritage, modernised hotel. Gardens are a treat to watch. Beautifully manicured with blooming flowers and plants.
The spaciousness is a plus.
However a touch up on some places is needed. Peeling paint outside may be taken care as now the rains are over.

Well great property. Each room had a different ambiance as it was a old fort converted into a hotel. Our destination wedding was a success here.

Beautiful palace, very well maintained, rooms are massive yet comfortable and very nicely designed. However, toilets could do with a ventilation fan. Also maybe give a little bit of privacy with the Bathroom windows as it opens directly in front of the stairs.
Apart from these tiny issues I loved this place. Away from everything, nice pool for a swim. Dining area is must see. carvings, design, paintings and chandeliers make one look in awe and hard to focus on food when you have such a beautiful dining area.

We were 6 of us and booked 3 suites. The rooms are of different sizes but still very large. The construction is based on the same structure as was built by Bharatpur Maharaja Ram Singh in 1857. Each area of the hotel has anecdotal pictures showcasing the history of Bharatpur. The facilities cover every thing you need - fridge, kettle, bathroom slippers, toiletries etc. The best part of the room is that the ceiling is so high that room naturally remains cool. And if thats not enough then they have given super cool o-general ACs too.

Food is the best part of the hotel. We had breakfast buffets mostly and sometimes al'carte dinner. Coming from a foodie family, we all really are particular about the taste and the variety. Both were just great! For the first time I also had freshly made kachoris.

Service was very prompt and all the staff members were polite. We had to go to bird sanctuary in the morning so the chef helped us get late breakfast even though we were the only ones eating.

The hotel itself is so beautiful that we spent hours just roaming around in the evenings and cherished the well maintained gardens too.

Totally recommend to go for this hotel!

Bharatpur is a place famous for bird watching. And if you are planning to stay over than this is the best heritage property. It can be a good weekend destination. Avoid coming in monsoon or summer as it can be super hot and humid.

Very rich and varied buffet, the cuisine is delicious.
We only went there for a lunch but it was worth it.
The chandeliers are also splendid, a 5-star residence !!!

One of the best properties to stay in Bharatpur near the bird sanctuary. Rooms, service, food everything was upto the mark. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property and would recommend anyone going to Bharatpur to stay here.

Excellent palace hotel. Simply a visit to remember. Very couteous and professional staff. We stayed in a suite which was awesome. The maintenance of the rooms and the property is truly of International standard. Last but not the least, the dining hall and food, superb. I believe this is the best property near and around Bharatpur and a stay to remember.
