Gokula Homestay Chikmagalur

I was looking for a decent homestay for my 2 days trip to Chikkamagaluru and a friend of mine suggested Gokula Homestay and I got the booking done. After coming here I saw the property is so nice, so quite far away from city's noises, such a good plantation all around, near and clean rooms. But more then the property, we enjoyed the hospitality of the family, taking care of even the minute things. Aunties ji food is to die for, never had such a nice rasam ever. Never felt that I am a visitor, felt as if I am associated with this family.

Strongly recommend this Homestay over all others and even hotels. Visit and experience yourself

We visited Gokula Home Stay on 22-Oct for 2 Days , we were around 14 people. We had an amazing experience while staying here. To Begin with Mrs Shreyanka was very helpful right from the booking till the day we checked out from the Home stay and she was in constant touch with us ( though she was in Germany during this period ) .
The rooms were exceptionally clean, including the beds, pillows, blankets, and bathrooms.
Now , Coming to the Owner Mr Chidanand , Hard to find such gem of a person in the current world . So humble, gentle and very caring
As soon as we reached the home stay we were provided with Delicious Coffee and he also suggested the best places to visit which were less crowded
and Finally not to miss out on the food ,we were provided with Typical Malnad Style Home-cooked scrumptious Food .
They also arranged for Campfire in the night. Mr Chidanand also took us for a morning trek and got to Experience an insightful coffee plantation walk amidst the dense coffee estate
This homestay makes you feel at home . The hosts warm hospitality , welcoming nature and engaging conversations create a memorable and homely experience.

If you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the citylife, Gokula is the perfect option. It's situated at Handi, around 20 kms from Chikmagalur town, with easy road access. We can experience hospitality at its best along with coffee plantation walk and visit to a private view point. We visited towards the end of January.

I had the most incredible experience at this homestay! It exceeded all my expectations. The balcony offered a splendid view right next to a lush coffee plantation. The rooms were exceptionally clean, including the beds, pillows, blankets, and bathrooms. I couldn't have asked for more in terms of hygiene.

What truly stood out, though, was the host's commitment to customer support and hospitality. They went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was smooth and pleasant. They made our monsoon trip absolutely amazing, and I am grateful for their warm and welcoming nature.

I highly recommend this homestay to anyone looking for a memorable experience in Chikmagalur. You won't be disappointed!

Home-cooked local delicacies, especially the freshly brewed coffee, are exceptional. The ambiance is serene and ideal for relaxation. Perfect stay for a family or group of friends. I wonder if you can get any better stay near Chikmagalur.

We had 2 day stay here along with our pet.
We had the most amazing experience hHost was extremely welcoming and served us with utmost love and affection. Honestly , dint really feel like a strangers place!
They have a beautiful yard where pets and kids can run around, they not only allowed pet to stay with us in our room but also provided fresh food.
Food! Oh My!! They surprised us with multiple local delicacies, Food was clearly prepared and served with love more than a mandate. We even skipped dinner at fancy restaurants to rush home to have the most authentic homemade food.

PS: You get to taste wonderful homemade variety of wine collection

PPS: Stay comes with 2 furrballs
two cutest pups who make leaving the place extremely hard.

Such a beautiful home stay very nice house especially coffee is best at the home very friendly but problm is charging high for food per lunch or dinner charging 500 need to reduce but food is very tasty hygiene especially chicken gravy very tasty 😋

The best homestays I ave ever visited! Splendid balcony view right next to coffee plantation. Extremely hygienic rooms,beds, pillows, blankets and bathrooms. Another Five stars for the best homely food! And I loved coffee they served 3 times a day.

Nice place with great ambience with delicious food and hygienic rooms

Had excellent hospitality. They went over and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Highly appreciable and recommended.

Three of us friends stayed here November last year. (Kind of reunion ). Rooms are tidy clean toilet, comfy bed and fresh linens and towels. Super cool and easy hosts. One of few pet friendly places. You feel like a real homestay. We found this place through makemytrip, as the previously booked place cancelled our booking last minute with no proper reasons.
A good place to stay if you are planning ettina bhuja, devara mane, baba budangiri etc. You need a car though, the roads to this place is good.

I stayed here for 3 nights with 3 of my friends. The stay is located right beside a coffee plantation. The hosts were very friendly and went to great lengths to make us comfortable. There were no restrictions. They even provided us with a bonfire, which was ideal for a starry and cool night.
Chikmagalur city is a 20 minute ride from here and the hill spots are less than an hour away.
I would certainly love to visit again!

Great homely cooked food. Good rooms and very good hosts. They have 3 rooms on the first floor with double occupancy and a common sitting & dining area. We got to see ripe coffee seeds harvesting and drying.

We visited Gokula Homestay on Christmas for 1N/2D. It was a very pleasant experience. The homestay is a bit far from the Chikmagalur town. We had bonfire and bbq arranged along with stay. Shreyanka and her family were very cordial and accommodating. We also got a brief tour of their coffee estate. Will look forward to visiting once again.

We went there just for one night stay. Location was beautiful surrounded with coffee estate and village atmosphere... Rooms were super clean with all facilities. owner was very kind and friendly.... Stay was very pleasant and relaxing.... As we didn't get chance to taste their home food... We will be going back again for sure....

Very nice and calm place . It's very well suited for someone looking for a peaceful location to spend some quality time. The food was awesome. The host are amazing and their hospitality was amazing.

Stayed there for 3 days. We liked the place from the very onset. Rooms were actually better than the picture posted. All modern amenities were available in the midst of a coffee plantation. The hosts are really nice people and they even obliged us with a walk around their plantation. The food was mind blowing. Real homemade delicacies. Best thing about the hosts were that they were very welcoming towards our pet. All in all, a good place to unwind, away from the loud cities.
