"I recently visited Shivamogga Railway Station and was pleasantly surprised by the level of cleanliness at the station. The entire premises, including the platforms, waiting areas, and restrooms, were exceptionally well-maintained. The staff seemed dedicated to keeping the station spotless, and I noticed regular cleaning efforts throughout the day.

The presence of waste bins at regular intervals made it convenient for passengers to dispose of their rubbish responsibly. The restrooms were also notably clean and well-stocked with essentials. It was evident that the station management prioritizes hygiene and cleanliness, which significantly enhanced the overall experience of using the facilities.

I appreciate the attention to detail and the efforts put forth to maintain a high standard of cleanliness. It's reassuring to see a railway station that places such importance on providing a clean and pleasant environment for travelers. Shimogga , feels at home and it's the kannadiga ppl who make anyone feel at home.. just like kannadigas in chennai, coimbatore speak such good tamil and watch only tamil movies.. it's high time tamils show gratitude to shimoga, the place which has given them so much and start imbibing kannada , kannada culture, in their life and family rather than staying as outsiders thru out

It is a well organised and clean platforms. It has 2 platforms. They have a hotel. This railway station has a decent amount of connectivity to other cities.

Renewed/Upgraded Railway station.. One of the well maintained Railway stations of Malnad region (South Western Railway).. A big National Flag at the entrance.. Vehicle Parking facility is available..Good Snacks and food shops are inside the station..

Shivamoga train station is located 3 km away from city bus stand. You need to take auto to reach here. For train schedule check wher is my train app or IRCTC website. All major cities in Karnataka you can find train connection from Shivamoga. 3 to 4 platforms are there. Station is not much crowded.

Nyce and good railway station 🚉 it is need more platforms and need more trains because train's are less but passengers is high level numbers, but no proper trains being on time just number of trains run through this railway station, run trains between Bangalore shimoga Town extra trains atleast shimoga to birur/kadur railway station because it helps lot of poor peoples

Very Good railway station,easily accessible and well maintained.Please travel with ticket(iykyk).
At the exit you will find many autodrivers waiting to escort you, you can go for it.But if you want to really save some money you should walk a little further (30Mtr) towards the road and wait for a local private bus. Pls don't spit pan here Nortis :) IYKWIM

Total 17 train services available here with 8 halting trains, including 1 janashatabdi & super fast trains. On the platforms shops are available.
Security is good & helping passengers.

This station connects people from Bangalore to western places.
Ppl going to Sagar, sirsi, kumta, kundapur get down here.
Food served inside station is ok ok, so if u planning to have food, u will need to go outside the station.
Lodges are available as u come out of station.
Auto Rickshaw available to go to bus stand just outside the station
