HPTDC Hotel The Kinner Kailash

The location of the hotel very good. Some rooms offers breathtaking view of the himalayas. Price is little bit on the higher side. As it is a govt. property don't expect service like the private ones. The restaurant of the property offers good food with mesmerizing views.

One of the best and well maintained hotels of HPTDC. The view from the room is outstanding. Their food is good and reasonable variety both veg and non veg.
Wifi was an issue which needs to be resolved. Also their phone is not functional and we took the mobile number of one of the staff

Kinner Kailash is one of the best hotel in kalpa with magnificent view of the Kinner Kailash mountain range from your room window . If you like the view of this majestic mountain then I would suggest to take front facing rooms such as 301, 302,303,304 . All the rooms are very neat and tidy , and the staff is as usual very courteous ( trademark of Himachali host . Writing from my experience) . One last thing … the best room in this hotel is the “suit” which is actually a Duplex (somehow they fail to mention online) . if you have 2 or more kids or elderly parents travelling with you then the “ suit “ is the best option and is cheaper then 2 separate Delux rooms .

Luxurious rooms where you feel at home.
Very comfortable stay and very delicious food. Eagerly waiting to come back again. Headed by an amazing manager Mr. Negi, you get welcomed with top notch hospitality and affection for which Himachal is so well known. Words are inadequate to describe the views from the rooms and there is a trekking route just beside the hotel to chaka peak through the apple orchards. You need to ask for this route as this is not very popular but don't miss it, it will take you to 15k+ feet if you can complete the trek.

This place is the best location to stay at Kalpa. The view of Kinner Kailash is amazing. There is ample parking space. Staff is courteous. Restaurant is well appointed and food is good. This is the highest place to stay at Kalpa. Online booking is also available on the department portal. Rooms are nice and we'll maintained. I recommend this place to stay at Kalpa.

Mind blowing view of the Kinner Kailash from the hotel. Service is good & the staff is courteous. The approach to the hotel is a tad demanding, but then it gets compensated by the breathtaking views. Food tastes really nice too. Well done HPTDC & thanks for the hospitality! Surely recommended. Definitely deserves a second visit.

An excellent experience in Kalpa. I caught fever during my tour to Kalpa and spent an entire day in watching Kailash from my bed and ordering room services. Captured the night sky from the room itself. The hotel has parking space. Will recommend to anyone planning for Kalpa.

This is a HPTDC hotel and it’s at a perfect location in Kalpa, with a great view of the sacred Kinnor Kailash mountains. The rooms are nice, with great views. Interiors are mostly wooden and rooms are well carpeted. I went in July and in front of us were snowcapped Kinnaur Kailash ranges. So it gets a little cold during nights, winters must be chilling. Rooms heaters were there. Nice and cozy blankets. Service by the staff in room as well as in the restaurant is great with delicious food and good portion size. Main Kalpa bazar and temple is just a 10 minute walk. Rohgi Suicide point is just a 10 minutes drive. Most recommended hotel if you are visiting Kinnaur.

This is a beautiful HPTDC hotel at Kalpa, Himachal Pradesh. We stayed there at the Kailash Cottage, spent 3 days for a visit to Kalpa, Rori village and to feel the beauty of nature and the long range of the Himalayan peaks. We enjoyed sunset with colour changing peaks. Oh, it's a God gifted beautiful place which anyone can feel from his heart and soul.

Very elegant and royal place to visit. This place is blend of luxury, comfort , peace and cultural heritage of Kinnaur. Rooms are very classy with glimpses of local wooden architecture .
Kinner Kailash view is awesome . Staff is very cooperative and helpful. Must visit place with family members or in groups for those , wanted to spend some time in nature .

Very nice view of sunset and sunrise at that time the snow on the mountains looks golden colour. Good Restaurant. Nice weather.u surely enjoy here. Not a crowded place. Calm and quiet. Perfect holiday destination away from crowd

Words will fall short if you start describing this beautiful hotel! More than why and how, its the location that do the full justice to this hotel. We checked in late at night while returning from Kaza and had to took a steep route due to the landslide on the main route. The terrain was very difficult and when we entered Kalpa, it was already raining. We couldn't find the hotel anywhere but the GPS kept guiding on. At one point, we left hope of locating it at night. After a few kilometers of passing through the clouds, we finally reached this heaven.

Wonderfully built, great views, amazing staff, can improve on food though but all in all a pleasant place to be at.

Hotel with an amazing view. The rooms are pretty big and comfy. The staff is hospitable as well. Though we visited Kalpa as a pit stop and stayed in this hotel for a night only, but later on we felt that we should have stayed more and enjoyed the property.

Beautiful property, little suffocating. Breath taking views from the room. The staff is wonderful and kind. The food is tasty especially the manchurian tastes amazing.
