The Golden Retreat

In my life, I had travelled many countries as well as many parts of India also. I had stayed in several 5 star properties also. I must admit that staying in The Golden Retreat Haldia is one of the best experiences of my life. It is a fantastic property. The ambience, the architecture, the greenery, all are beautiful. Starting from reception to housekeeping to restaurant and room service, each and every staff is excellent in behaviour and job execution. The room is very nice with all the required amenities. The lawn is just awasome. The food quality is very good. The prices may look a bit higher, but considering the quantity and discount they offered, it is at par. The location is great, just beside the city centre. The clientele is of very high standard. Even the drivers' dormitory is also up to the mark. I am specially pleased with the overall professionalism of the property. I convey my best wishes to the management and staffs.

N.B. - Just one aspect to be looked into. A better wifi connectivity will be highly appreciated.

I would like to write about restaurant staff ..Very humble prompt and dedicated restaurant staff. Every staff member right from morning breakfast time to dinner working hard for customer .they are giving best of best service to customer.I would to inform hotel management about staff best service.Thank you everyone.

We feel bored in home food then we decided to go to this hotel...here is a place we can get tasty food with friendly staff...atmosphere also too 👍

We had a lovely weekend stay and enjoyed a lot. It is conveniently located, just beside the city center and had ample parking space. Room was spacious and clean. The property including the pool was well maintained.
Service was very satisfactory and food was excellent. The quantity and quality of food justified the price. Their continental dishes are a must try, if you have a taste for it.
Will definitely revisit when we get a chance.

A very nice resort. The staffs are cordial. The food is good. Overall very nice experience. Although, I would suggest they should spend a little on maintenance.

Pro Tip: Call room service to get the geyser on. Else, you won’t get hot water in the washroom.

Everything is fine but cost of food is so high

First things first, I never expected a hotel of this statute in Haldia. I was positively surprised. The rooms were amazing! Service was upto the mark. Overall cleanliness was superb. Only one thing I didn't like is the below average fooding..lots of scope for improvement.

The hotel is a lil old but rooms are great. Food price is a bit on higher side but tastes great. Great Experience. Bell boys can be a lil bit more pro active.

The hotel has quite a good ambience and the staffs were also very good at their service, as well as kind and helpful too. Check in was hassle free. No problems as such during the stay.
The food was also good.
The hotel is super clean and nice.
Hotel is equipped with almost everything you might need.

Very good place.. food was also very good.
A good place for a date also outing with friends.
Only issue i found is , at restaurant, food preparation takes time. Other than that, it's a superb place.

Very good place ito stay in Haldia

I went there for a wedding ceremony. The swimming pool was nice!!

From very beginning of entrance there was a eye catching view and inclined path towards upside made me feel awesome. The entire hotel is itself a golden one. Mainly the out view was awesome and inner also. The rooms are quite bigger in size and the bed was also comforts me in every angle. The room service and other services are average. But for over all it's remarkable 5★

Located in the City Centre of Haldia. Good place to visit for weekend recreational trip. Facilities like swimming pool, gym, kids play zone, football, carrom & car parking available. Staffs are all very kind & helpful. Loved the place.

It was really good ambience resort visited 2days ago with friends.. a nice resort...ground floor rooms were well furnshied...bathroom is also decorated well...complimentary breakfast was good will lots of choices....swimming pool was well mainted. But when we visited children's summing pool was in maintenance..only thing that we did get was welcome drink and cookies..we would also like to visit again with friends. Food quality is good but a bit costly..

I have been to this multiple times. This resort easily makes my top 3 places to unwind and chill.

The food here is great. The staff, extremely well mannered. I plan on getting married here.

Definitely worth visiting if you want to get away from your everyday city life!
