Spent a calm, serene and extremely enjoyable winter afternoon there in January 2022. Had a little picnic on the velvety green Haldi river bank with friends, and we felt surreal... I guess, the murmur of the waves, watching the passing boats and ships go by every now and then, the open waterscape along the banks, the foggy green across the river, the twittering of birds and of course, the star of the show, a red and orange sun set behind the clouds, it being on the east side of the river...it was really worthwhile. Perhaps because of the post COVID lockdown scenario, it was not at all crowded, people roam about idly or take health-walks towards the afternoon mostly, though I am unaware of the crowds on the weekends or holidays as I visited on a weekday. The beautification project is more or less maintained. The ferry ghat is near, so is the bus depot. The roads are good, even after you leave the NH6 behind and take the local road for about 20minutes to get there, the roads and the township is well planned. The green surrounding and the river relax your eyes and mind. The only drawback is the lack of a proper toilet, if you are spending a few hours at a stretch. There's a Sulabh complex but it's without any maintenance. Otherwise, for the ones seeking a quiet escape not far from the metropolis (it is about 3.5hours drive from Kolkata) alone or with family and friends, it is heavenly.

Haldia Township Ferry Ghat is an important Ferry Terminal of communication for the people of Nandigram and Haldia. Every day the people of Nandigram and Haldia cross the Haldi river for various activities. The banks of this river are very beautiful. Boats ply daily from 5am to 6:30 pm.

Beautiful place to chill in the evening. A soothing atmosphere. No doubt, you will love to spend your post work time here

Here you can see the meeting point of the Haldi river and the Bhagirathi river. And day and night you will feel a smoothing breeze here. A must visit place in bengal.

Boats available to Nandigram everytime, nice view and natural scenery! Most beautiful during evening time about 4-5 pm, fit for morning walk and morning yoga! PLS VISIT

Amazing views from this site....best place for photography video shooting etc...a soothing environment. You can see large ships from here. Transportation facilities is available here directly for machda or haldia railway station.

This place is simply amazing. You can come here in early morning or afternoon time In this time so many people are coming here. In both times the sunrise and sunset view is amazing. If you came Haldia I should suggest you visit here one time.

Peaceful Arena. The ghat is beautifully decorated with seating arrangements and statues. You can avail roadside foodcarts there. Nice place to hang out in the evening and enjoy the sunset over a cup of tea.

Nice ferry service , I am upload a ferry timing chat below . You got ferry for Nandigram, Sagar Deep also. They maintain good timing for there ferry service. Mainly the ferry service between Haldia and Nandigram. Fastest root between two places. Ticket price is ₹5 only.
