Beautiful place and it’s super peaceful, Will recommend you to go here and have a look at the most beautiful sculptures made by Mr. Karmarkar! Most beautiful part of the sculptures are the details and eyes, the look so accurate! Great place to visit! People who admire art would absolutely love it! The ticket is just 10 rs per person which really great!

Beautiful sculptures. All sculptures are well maintained.. information related to the sculpture is written over there. Must go with kids & family.. sculptures are well organized. Cleanliness is maintained. Go there with private vehicle so that there will be no need to wait for auto. Otherwise it takes time to go to the main road by walking. Roads are bit confusing but people over there are helpful.

Visiting Alibag is not just about the beaches. It is about art and the people who sculpted it also. Must visit place. Their family still lives there and is doing a good work by maintaining works of Mr. Karmarkar by only taking a fee of ₹10 from per visitors.

Must visit place for all art lovers and for the people who wants to explore Alibag for something more than just beaches. All sculptures are maintained very well, with detailed information provided for most of them.

Amazing place to visit. I have been a local and used to travel by the place. But never got a chance to actually visit it until my college friends came to for a visit. It was surreal experience for sure. Being from Architecture these sculpture are lively and emotions are clearly dipicted on them. The matsyakanya was one of the best sculptures. If you are in alibag it's a must visit place.

It was Awesome experience to watch this museum . Mr. Nanasaheb karmarkar was welknown person and famous for his award winning sculptures. If you are visiting any where between Alibaug and Mandwa Jetty then this museum is must visit place. It is located in Sasawne village. Very small but typical Konkani village.
Karmarkar museum fascinates all the art lovers. Statues are so lively that some time it feels like a living thing. Many of the statues are award winning. You can fine statues all the renowned personalities from Chh. Shivaji Maharaj till Mahatma Gandhi and all of Karmarkar's family members, servents, friends, pets etc. All the statues and sculptures are made between 1914 till 1964 (as mentioned by Mr. Karmarkar's daughter-in-law Sunanda Karmarkar).
Entry fee is very nominal (10 ₹/person). This museum is inside an antique Konkani wada and is more than 100 years old.

karmarkar was one of the first trained sculptor of india. he developed his own style of reaustuc sculpture eyes. specimens of his works are placed in his ancestral house at the museum. the house and sculptures are very beautiful and worth a visit. road to the museum too is very pleasant. if you can meet Me. sunanda karmarkar who is sculptors daughter in law , you know you have simplicity and sweetness personified.

This place gives you a glimpse of the talent that Padamshree Karmarkar was. It's a beautiful house with old world charm.

Amazing art work... An artist to remember and appreciated always. Must visit when you are in or near Mandwa.Its a 20 mins drive from mandwa jetty. Entry fee is just 10/- per person and additional 10/- will be charged if you have a camera or phone to click pictures. We don't even get Vada pav now a days in 10/- and here we get to see these amazing sculptures.

I am recommending to visit this place with kids and observe and explain to art. Very nit maintained Museum. Visiting rates are very nominal.

It is best place to visit those who have insterest in sculptures....
