VFS Global Visa Application Centre in Cochin

This VFS office is inside Costal Chambers building (First floor).
I visited the office for my US visa Dropbox appointment. They have a systematic process inline, it hardly took 10 mins for submitting the documents and I received my stamped passport in 5 days. You could take print outs within the office, however am not sure how much they charge for it.

Surprised with so many negative reviews. For me, at VFS, it was an hassle free expereience.

Address and location in Google maps is exact and VFS is in first floor (take lift) of Coast Chambers building( opposite to SBT ). VFS office is by road side itself and has ample parking space for four or two wheelers as shown in attached pics. The whole process ( docs and biometrics collection ) took about 90 minutes. They accept processing fee in both card or cash. I was allowed to take carry bag(docs)/mobile phone(switched off) inside.

They will let you in before 15 minutes . Good service as well

VFS Global Cochin - Excellent Service and Staff's are very cooperative. Please carry cash and they don't accept cards payment now because they are upgrading their online payment system. Later on they may start accept cards. Carry extra copies of your documents. Before you go VFS take an appointment through VFS customer service team.

I was here for my Swiss visa end of May '22. It was very crowded and if the staff are slow, it is because they are very thorough and carefully checking the documents. The staff were also very helpful when I requested my biometric to be done fast since I had to catch the train.
One tip for customers, don't waste your money for SMS service, it is not working, I am tracking online only. Only cash transactions, so keep enough cash in hand.

Visited here for US H1B (interview waived-off for F1 to H1B COS) drop-box appointment. The process is smooth and fast - take a token & submit the docs (Rs 650 needs to be cash payment). You don't need another appointment or extra docs, just the ones mentioned in appointment confirmation is sufficient. There is very limited space for parking, although there is a paid-parking just across the road.

I am planning to submit documents for Belgium (long term) for myself and family accompanying me, we are from Kannur and unfortunately we are not able to find any appointments currently. As i am with one 4 years daughter and an infant i would like to ask can we walk in cochin office if we opt premium service without prior booking. As i am going for a post doctoral research program i have to join at the earliest ?? Hope you will reply soon

There are normal procedure and a premium lounge service where the official assist with everything and we will get a seperate place to rest while waiting. With a payment

I reached late since we could not start on time due to floods in our place, but the person in charge was very kind enough to let me in without any hassle. The whole process was smooth.

Those who are going to Germany for a long term blue card based employment visa can use the VFS facility in Kochi. No need to go to Bengaluru further. Dependent visas can also be processed here.
I submitted the documents on a Friday.
Exactly the 8th day I got the passports of mine and family with visa stamped.

Since I went with my family for biometrics, I chose premium services.
It took an additional amount of around 2300 per visa application for premium services.

Since I had many Missing documents for the visa process, the premium services were good for me. They printed around 50 additional pages for me since I missed some of the documents. Very professional behaviour by the staff. Free snacks, tea and cool drinks are available for premium services.

Pay and park facility is available exactly opposite of the building. 50Rs were the car parking fees.

Clean, neat, professional service. Very cordial and respectful staff. Efficient too. It took just 25 minutes for me to get in, submit my application for renewal and have them verify the docs before they completed the scrutiny and returned the appointment confirmation form saying received.

My spouse and myself had visited here for Belgium Visa and we had very good and positive experience here.
Many people had put negative reviews and its mainly because of longer waiting time. To avoid this you can take 8-9 AM early day appointments and within 1-2 hours you can finish the entire process if you have all required documents.

Make sure you're coming on time- no need to come early as they will call based on time

There is Xerox shop opposite to the VFS centre in case if you want to avail the services.

Pros:-
* Parking is available inside shopping complex which is very much helpful
* Staff was very friendly and supportive(Our personal experience)
* Process is fast if you're getting morning appointments(between 8-9 AM)
* Well maintained rooms with AC and clean washrooms

Cons:-
* There is no neat common washrooms outside of VFS office for someone who is accompanied
* Slots are given within the gap of 15 mins which is not enough to complete an application, minimum 45 mins gap should be there else the cumulative wait time for later slots are very high

Vfs premium works like a breeze! Went in dropped documents, paid and gave biometrics all within 1.5 hours!
The centre is well staffed and well informed about every visa category!

Excellent, courteous, quick and professional service. I had applied for a Schengen visa for France, and it was issued within four working days. I had opted for premium lounge service and though it means an additional Rs. 2000/added to the visa costs, i found it well worth it. The service is upto international standards and i am very satisfied with this agency.

Great supportive staff is the major pro. No space for parking your vehicle especially if you are coming on your 4 wheeler. So be prepared for that disastrous situation

The building is in the heart of the city. The parking space they have is good enough for 20 cars. Educational institutes like akash, ielts coaching classes operate here in this building. Domino's pizza has an outlet on the ground floor. Recommended

The location of VFS global Cochin is ideal, a good parking slot is available for all types of vehicles. And this centre is situated on the MG road and easy to arrive, Easy access by road and public transport.
Nice ambience , efficient and helpful staff who take you to to the process very quickly. Ensure that you have all your documents ready with you. A small Xerox and studio is available very near to the centre.

Good staff assistance. As it was first time for me, I availed premium service, so it was hastle free.
