Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital and Research Center

Had a great experience at the hospital for my Dad's surgery with Dr. S Pathak. The new builidng is clean, all the staff disciplined and professional, and the services are top-notch; the service provided by the nursing, administration, insurance, reimbursement, billing, admission, and pharmacy department were all good. Waiting areas and lobbies of the hospital are spacious. A systematic and disciplined process is followed for issuing visit passes, parking, and entry and exit in the hospital. Haven't tried their canteen food. Their VIP rooms are great. Unlike "request for review" policy by one of the other big hospitals in the area, all the reviews for Mangeshkar hospital is out of self-volition; therefore, the slightly lower rating---at least it shows integrity.

One of the Hospital at the cheapest price. You get a discounted price on everything, yes you heard it right, even on medicine they offer you 5% discount.
The chemo injection MRP was 6500 but we were getting it at Rs 1200.
The new building is has some better infrastructure and facilities than the old building.
The staff are really polite and helpful.
Overall you get a top level private hospital level treatment at one fourth of the cost.

I've been here as a patient. I had a surgery. I've had many relatives taking treatment, undergoing surgery etc. Hospital is very good, excellent doctors, excellent nursing staff. Very clean and efficient service. People coming here for the first time think it's too crowded hence it must be inefficient. But they soon realise that it has a very efficient way of handling large number of patients..also very reasonable charges compared to some corporate hospitals in Pune.

Excellent facilities with modern diagnostic tools, magnificent structure and brilliant doctors.
1. It is a charitable (not government) hospital established in 2001.
2. This hospital has two building, NEW building has emergency ward and OLD building has general OPDs.
3. You can book appointment online and on visit you have registered yourself at counters. You will receive visitors card and unique number. There are 87 beds reserved for maternity/delivery and 789 for other patients.
4. It is named after the Marathi theatre actor, Natya Sangeet musician and classical vocalist Deenanath Mangeshkar (Lata Mangeshkar's father).
5. DMH has a 24-hour Emergency, 12 operating theatres; four types of intensive care units (adult, pediatric, cardiac and a neo-natal ICU); and a rehabilitation center.
6. I have visited Vertigo OPD for my Wife, she has recovered within two weeks. I feel treatment is costly but totally worth for the facilities they are providing.

The above two are assured at this Hospital in Pune. The hospital is equipped with modern equipment , well trained nursing staff excellent house keepers and best doctors. You get care, attention, guidance and warmth at every place and person in this hospital.

One of the best equipped and reasonable hospital which believes it's primary responsibility is treating patients and not doing business only unlike most commercialised super speciality hospitals in Pune. So far I have found it to be honest in billing and patient care. Some of the best doctors across Pune are on its board as it's prestigious. It has a full fledged canteen facility which is functioning throughout and dormitory for patients attendants. Visitor access to visit patients is controlled at specific timings. There are two buildings, old and new with different departments across these two buildings.
Parking spaces within premises are very limited and most spaces are full by 9.00 am in the morning. Roadside parking is not allowed and you have to go quite a distance to park away from hospital and walk atleast 10 minutes back. So try and visit by cabs or rickshaw to save the hassle.

Medical and paramedical services are good, competant and friendly.
Improvement areas - speed of delivery in cafeteria, honking of vehicles inside the premises and accident zones inside ICU waiting room thanks to the way the footware is organised ( I can give couple of practical solutions to this - feel free to contact )

Bad thanks:- parking issue and claim approval taking so much time around 3-4 hours,so because of that discharge process will dilayed

My grandmother, Smt Padamavati Amtavane got admitted in the hospital for pyrometra and and kidney infection . She has gone through pyrometra drainage process successfully ,we are thankful to Dr Mahendra Borase who performed the surgery very well with she having dementia and her age is over 80 .
She was also suffering from kidney infection and when we admitted her, Her gfr was near 15 and she was in critical condition under the treatment of Dr Arun Kumar Tirlapur, she has been recovered drastically Tirlapur sir is one of the best in the field of Nephrology.Special thanks to Dr Ashwini Joshi who is coordinating her overall treatment and was responsible maintaining her fitness required for her surgery, post surgery cure medications and coordination between Drs of different departments required for her different ailments including Urology and Neurology. Hospital is very clean and follows all the procedures to maintain hygiene.

There is parking for visitors but sometimes it gets full. For that they have an indicator.

Good experience with DMH . Big campus. Semi private rooms are also good. Canteen is very nice and cost effective. Quality food available for patients and care takers. Good staf.

Best hospital in the city. Nurses take care of patients in very good manner. Hospitality is damn good. Food provided in canteens is better than outside Hotels. All doctors are professionals and always helping. All other staff also is always helpful. They never ask for payment before admission or before operation. Just remind you after 2-3 days that this much is your bill. Cleanliness is better than any other hospital. Nothing can compare to service given by this hospital. Overall better than best.

I recently had my neurological surgery done by Dr Kaustubh Dindorkar and for which I remain ever thankful to him and the able support staff. Special thanks to Dr Rupali who provided timely guidance during daily basis.

The infrastructure at the hospital is world class and similar is the service.

The only this that needs attention is the staying facilities. Lot of improvement is needed here.

Excellent Doctor staff. Exception in the medical world otherwise most hospitals have become marketing companies. They need to work on the parking and registration process

Went for root canal treatment. Dr Gokhale is take care of small things and gives sufficient time. after multiple sittings it was completed. total process took more than a month. Root canal and capping was perfect.

I visited hospital for OPD 2 times for my daughter and my self too. Below are best service points
1: sufficient parking for Cars & 2 wheeler.
2: all expertise at one place like consultation as well as all related treatments.
3: economical charges.
4: clean environment everywhere in hospital. Its best place if someone new in pune and want fair streatment
