Amazing place for self study lovers. Very very student friendly. Open 17 hours a day. Aren't too many restrictions. A liberal and safe environment. Must visit but only after taking admission or library membership.

It is one of the best libraries I've ever seen...
Surrounding is also of healthy environment for study...

Just problem is that management is lacking behind controlling the students autonomy, since there are some students who really are doing worth but they have occupied seats in library so the fresh student who is willing to study gets hardly a seat...
I don't say that all the students are doing like this but some of the are really annoying and disturbing...

Management should remove their stuff from library (reading section) so that others can get their rights...

It's one of the best libraries in the state. Students come here from several places of the state to find their research material. Those who are not the members of the library can get books or study materials by taking one day membership.

The library was founded in 1950 and is a center of reference and information. It subscribes to Indian and foreign research journals, and receives periodicals on a gratis and exchange basis. It has more than 450,000 books and journals. An inter-library loan facility is extended to colleges, institutions and government agencies. The Jayakar Library has preserved ancient Indian texts in the form of manuscripts and books. It has computerized all library activities and using RFID technology and has undertaken a project in digital library management.

Nice environment.. just the chairs must be more comfortable... Then no one else in Pune would be providing such a peaceful place to study

It was the great time when I used spend much time there . Really very good library . All types of books are there . And speciality is that we can go ,spend time , check other related books and then choose!!
