I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sarjaa, and I must say, it was a great experience!

The food at Sarjaa was fantastic, and the Butter Chicken stole the show! The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced. I would highly recommend trying their Prawns Tikka and Tandoor Pomfret in starters, which were incredibly flavorful and a delightful way to kick off the meal.

We ordered two starters, one delicious main course dish, along with biryani, and to complement the flavors, we opted for three refreshing Belgian beers. The bill for this 2 course meal for our group of four came to Rs. 6000/-.

The service at Sarjaa was top-notch, and the staff was attentive and friendly throughout the evening, enhancing the overall dining experience.

Been dining here since 1997 (when it opened) and it has been consistently excellent food till date. They have also ensured timely updates to the menu while ensuring crowd favorites remain and restaurant ambience is simple, subtle and classy overall. Highly recommend the butter chicken, any tandoori or Chinese starters, mutton rogan josh. Everything tastes great and service is polite and timely. Keep up the good work.

One stop place for all the food lovers. Their speciality is unique and delicious non veg varieties. The taste and quantity is quite good. Must visit place for foodies!

A place where you would love to go with your family and friends.. this place offers amazing Indian cuisine.. u may find the rate a bit on higher side.. but food is worth the cost. U can add this restaurant in your must visit list.

This place SARJAA has been a classic old time place not only in aundh but also in pune. the who's who of pune had this place as their favorite and still do visit. recently the place has been renovated (after 22 years) and the menu too has been upgraded. The newer addition to the address is the newly decked up outdoor all day cafe (serves beers and cocktails) which will start serving soon. but the main restaurant is renovated and up and running. the food is damnnn good..!! the old favorite butter chicken finds a place in the new menu with other exotic veg and nonveg dishes..! The place has an updated bar too serving premium beers , cocktails and liqueurs..!

This review is a special one and close to my heart, I have been a patron of this restaurant for maybe close to 15 yrs.
It has undergone renovation and looks more trendy and modern now. The quality of food is unmatched, Sarjaa has maintained it all the time, which is remarkable. I have always loved the chiken biriyani and reshmi kababs and soups is a must try.They also serve alcholic drinks.
The songs played are old hindi classics , thet go very well with the ambience and the food.
This one is my personal top pick , if you want to enjoy food with family.
To let out a little secret, this is owned by none other than bharat ratna lata mangeshkar. BTW you can see all her awards on display at the entrance of the restaurant.

This restaurant Sarjaa is a venture of the Lata Mangeshakar’s family. It was inaugurated on 11 June 1996 by Hema Malini. The restaurant is currently managed by Ganesh and Ranjit Shetty. Sarjaa has a very decorative ambience. It accommodates 106 people simultaneously and serves a sumptuous spread of Indian and Chinese cuisines.
Food is very delicious 😋.
But cost is little bit on higher side.
It will cost you around 1000 pp.
Ambience is very nice.
You can listen to Lata mangeshkar's songs while enjoying your meal.
I would recommend to visit this place.

Tried butter chicken along with butter garlic naan here. Taste was very good. Butter chicken was not sweet like we get in most of the restaurants in Pune. It was medium spicy we can say. Ambiance is very good and service was prompt. Must visit place for butter chicken.

Food should if not always give you nostalgia and bring back happy memories, that is what good food and a good restaurant should do and this is exactly what Sarjaa has done for me and many others since the last 25 years ..
Being one of the first restaurants in Aundh, it does not need an introduction and has been serving fabulous food for decades.
People who have lived in this area have visited and ordered from Sarjaa for ages and swear by the quality and taste. Though Sarjaa does have a revamped look, most of the menu still remains the same especially the famous butter chicken, but they also have a new menu increasing the choice of dishes and cuisines you can choose from.

We ordered the following which hands down were the best .

Drinks - Being a huge sangria fan myself I was a little curious on the special Sangria menu that was placed on our table and wanted to go ahead and try a few, I was not disappointed at all cause the Sangrias we're unique and well made.

🌺Lemon spiced sangria - a light flavour of spices infused into the wine
🌺Pear mint sangria - sweetness of the pear seeping into the wine
🌺Rubio sangria - tiny beads of fruit adding to the flavor of this one

For appetizers we ordered the following

🌺Kharda kosla kombdi - a lovely spicy chicken with the marination of Kharda not for the weak tummy ones ( like myself)
🌺Dhaniya cheese ke chapete - topping my list this cheesy and cripy snack was my favorite with a hint of the coriander not too empowering the tikki
🌺Jhinga tawa- clean well done tasty prawns with a rich marination
🌺Murg cheese tikka - cheese and chicken what can go wrong with that, tasty & creamy

The marinations were on point for every dish

Mains

🌺Butter chicken - the king of the dinner and always the best one , not sweet and incredibly yummy with every bite , creamy and tasty to go best with ur butter naan
🌺Gosht Rogan josh - the gosht was tender well cooked , a tasty gravy perfect with your rotis or bhakris or also with steamed rice
🌺Mallu macchi curry with Neer Dosa - A very beautiful light south indian fish curry coupled with neer dosa, the perfect meal for two and can be had with sticky rice too
🌺Mutton kheema - mutton kheema is always the best soul food especially with your butter roti and this one was no different , well cooked kheema , rich in taste
🌺Kori Roti + chicken curry - this is again one of my favorite soul foods, simple ,creamy chicken curry with crispy kori roti the combination of soft creamy with crispy kori roti is always exciting

Deserts

🌺Gulab jamun -"GULAB JAMUN" - The coveted king of Indian sweets 🤩...that dinner made your tummy full??? nahhh you'll still have place for some gulab jamun. Soft yummy and extremely tasty
🌺Malai kulfi - This was an in-house kulfi , surprise surprise it was incredibly light, not too sweet or nor too creamy just a perfect desert after a heavy meal

A great place for family and now that they have a full day cafe you can come hang with your friends too… You will also find a great host in Mr. Tarun who saw to it that we all had a good time and we're well fed.

Very nice food, awesome ambience, fast service. As the restaurant belongs to Lata Mangeshkar you feel close to her.Restaurant keeps playing her music in background. Restaurant also has a cabinet of her trophies won on different platforms.

I've been there a few times and always enjoyed the food. The staff is always courteous and the service is great.
Loved their butter chicken and mutton kakori kebab. Actually I've enjoyed all their dishes. They make a great veg pulav as well. Biryani is not the best but great would enjoy a bit more rice in the dish, but that's just me. They give a lot of pieces, so if that's your thing then great.
Slightly pricey, so mostly for special occasions.
Love the old hindi music that they play.
