This is the best place for South Indian foodies from Pune. But other than south Indian food they severs many different dishes also, and that's bit interesting. This place is located in heart of Pune, that is Sadashiv Peth.
If you are talking about ambiance wise, this is perfectly decorated indoor and outdoor space with traditional touch.

Masala dosa , shira, filter coffee, idli is really good. Thought I didn't liked tomato amlet.
Overall really good place to go ... & eat authentic south indian food... I think thali is also available... But have to try first.

Amazing food at pocket friendly prices.

In recent times, they have renamed this place as "The Pune Kitchen".. They have extended the "more" of their restaurant name "South & more", to include punjabi, chinese as well as more south indian dishes, along with their already served preparations.. The "more", the better! Food quality is very nice. Restaurant with value for money. Good standards of cleanliness. Ambience is pleasing and warm, with a touch of traditional aspect to seating arrangement and entrance! Filter coffee is great! Less-spicy dishes, yet the food items satisfy one's taste-buds!! Staff is customer friendly. Been here many a times and every time I walk out of this restaurant, with my soul satisfied.. Washroom facility is missing.

Authentic south taste. I tried Mini Phone Podi Idali. And it was worthful. The taste of their sambar is typical South Indian and way better than overhyped others restaurants. Recommended

Delicious South Indian cuisine in pocket friendly price! Loved the Podi tossed idli. Also the staff is very polite and courteous!

Epic place. The food is Fingerlicking good!! And the "Mexi Roll Delight Dosa" is on a whole different level. Some of the interesting delicacies like the "Podi Tossed Idli" and "Crispy Cheese Chilly Dosa" which are worth trying.....

Their coconut chutney is fresh and has right amounts of everything ...we had podi idly and rava dosa ....which are heavenly
