Sree Nhangattiri Bhagavathy Temple is one of the oldest Durga Devi temples. Devi faces the West.

The temple is among 108 Durgalayas erected by Sage Parashurama.

Durga Devi and other Sub-Deities in the temple are among the functional and prominent deities of Kaliyuga. Durga Devi relieves from evil effects Rahu or people going through Rahu dasha in this Kaliyuga.

Located very close to Bharatapuzha river this an old and famous temple. One can easily reach this temple by taking an auto from pattambi bus stand and railway station or from Njagattiri bus stop. Located a bit away from Pattambi -Guruvayoor road. Another famous temples close to njangattiri temple are pattambi, guruvayoorappan temple, mukkarathi kavu, Tirumittakode shiva temple.

See Nhangattiri Bhagwati Temple is located at Nhangattiri, 2 kms from Pattambi on the Pattambi Guruvayur Road. From the main road, temple is about 900 meters away with motorable road. Temple is located on the banks of Bharatha puzha. Poojas are performed from 5 am to 11 am and again 5 pm to 7.30 pm. Managed by Malabar Devaswom Board. No parking place, vehicles are parked on the available space on the road side in haphazard way. No attention is given for providing facilities to devotees.
