Seven Mirrorlake Homestay

Whenever I want to plan a trip to hills, Sikkim always comes first in my mind. So, this year we planned a trip to Sikkim again.
This time I asked my friend at Sikkim to suggest us a serene place after enjoying the chilling cold of Nathang Valley. He took me to this place of spell bound beauty, The Seven Mirror lake Homestay.

• Location:
The Seven Mirror Lake is around 4.5 kms from Ravangla. This Seven Mirror Lake Homestay is just 100 meters from there.
On the opposite side of the entrance of the Homestay, you can find a narrow hilly short cut to one of the oldest monastery of Sikkim, The Doling monastery.

• Accommodation:
The rooms are spacious and clean as a new penny. They are well decorated. Comfortable beds, clean linens, and well-appointed bathrooms ensured a cozy and pleasant stay. You can get hot water from the Geyser anytime.

• Hospitality:
The hosts' warmth and hospitality truly set this homestay apart. They went above and beyond to make guests feel welcome, providing personalized attention and local insights. A sense of being part of the family added a personal touch to the overall experience.

• Cuisine:
The homestay's kitchen deserves a special mention. You always get delicious, home-cooked from their own harvested vegetables. You can get local dishes also on request.

• Ambiance:
The ambiance of the homestay is the key point. The Homestay is surrounded by forest with a breath taking view of Mount Kanchenjunga and its range.
The Common area is thoughtfully designed, offering comfortable seating and a homely atmosphere.

In conclusion, my stay at this hillside homestay was a rejuvenating experience. From the breath taking views to the warm hospitality and well-thought-out amenities, every aspect contributed to a memorable getaway. I highly recommend this homestay to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat in the hills.

Range of snow capped mountains in front, comfortable stay, delicious food, utter serenity, warm hospitality!! What is wanted more?? Just stayed here for two days. Amazing and highly recommended.

We had travelled to Sikkim in April and stayed here on our first day. Had an awesome experience here and really loved our stay. Location is out of the world and get views of snow capped mountains from the window. Food was super delicious and was prepared using vegetables grown in their farm only. Hence it was healthy as well. Excellent hospitality. Lovely family. Felt like home away from home. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone who is visiting Sikkim.

We stayed in the property owned by Jim and his family for 4 days straight and I had no wish of leaving even after that.. I travel a lot and his property and the hospitality we received was possibly the best I have ever had! The meals were delicious..the property so so beautiful ❣ the family took care of literally all our needs and we're available at all hours! No requirement or request went unanswered.. the rooms were cozy and the view breathtaking! We look forward to spending more time at the homestay! Thank you for the wonderful experience Jim!

I recently visited this homestay at sikkim...
Me & my family went their by car & by the time we arrived their it was 9pm...And we were stuck at an unknown place n even the gps stopped working.
There we called the homestay owner & he drove 4 kms to fetch us from that situation.
I must say once u enter their homestay u will feel like it's ur home...The people r soo friendly & polite.
The weather, scenery, view of the mountains at dawn straight out of the windows is breathtaking...
The food felt like homemade & was very delicious.
Cleanliness was upto the mark...
There was a monastery near the homestay...It was very peaceful there.
It is a perfect place to forget abt the daily chaos of the cities.
If I ever get another chance I will surely visit again.

Marvelous property, amazing food and warm hospitality. Road leading to this place from rabong legship highway is very good as well passes by NIT Sikkim.

Neatness of this place is mention worthy. Owner family is truly lovable and they take care of everything. They harvest their own vegetable which turns into lip smacking local recipes. Dogs are well trained, vaccinated and very friendly. Kids enjoyed a lot.

I will definitely go back. This place has its own vibe, request to everyone not to expect something very urban from here but to mingle with the vibe and enjoy. Thanks a lot to host family !!

This is arguably one of the best homestays we have ever visited in India - Jim, his father and rest of the family are wonderful hosts and extremely welcoming- they will treat you as part of extended family. The homestay is at a 20 minute drive from the Buddha park in Ravangla and is located in a very secluded area with peace and tranquility around. On a clear day, you will get one of the best views of Khangchendzonga, Mt Pandim in the whole of Sikkim. There are many small monasteries and forest walks that you can treat yourself to, one can also visit nearby villages like Kewzing for a totally offbeat experience. Coming to the homestay, the rooms are very clean and comfortable and have a homely ambience. The view from the cottages is breathtaking, the garden and lawn around is a boon for families with children. The food served is homely, organic and authentic Sikkim dishes are also available - we absolutely loved the local dishes like wheat momos, Thukpa and Cawre. Last but not the least, the family itself is so welcoming and Jim's father is a gem of a person - very knowledgeable and can speak to you for hours jovially! Also missing the ever smiling and chatty Heesay - the little girl who was our kid's best friend through the journey and who helped us with all our forest walks!

Very calm and pristine homestay in the woods. Far from the madding crowd. The owners take excellent care of the guests. Food is homely and tasty. Rooms are spacious and neat. The only disadvantage is the lack of transport as it is quite at a distance from Ravongla taxi stand. However those who wish to have few days of peace and tranquility it is the best place for them.

Excellent. Everything too good. Warm receptor by the host. What a beautiful location and view from the place. Cottages are best for all comforts. Nice restaurant. Good delicious food. Lovely place where children can also play. Located nor far from buddha park and temmy tea garden.

This place was the icing on the cake. It is located amidst the beauty of nature. We could see the mountain range from our bedroom that was a treat for the eyes . Home cooked food by the hosts was perfect and they did not have any problems in cooking jain food for us. The hosts were very warm and friendly and I would definitely suggest this place for people who want to stay away from the maddening crowd that Sikkim attracts .

We went there during the first week of July. We were the only guests as it was a peak monsoon season. The place is excellent and full of greenery and excellent mountain scenery. The host Mr Bhutia was very cordial and friendly. No staff was there since it was an offseason but the owner made sure we face no issues at all. Would love to visit again.

One of the best places to stay if you are visiting Ravangla. It is a bit far away from the main town of Ravangla. It is remote, calm, serene and picturesque. Even pictures can't do justice to the beauty of this homestay. The owner Mr. Bhutia was very courteous and friendly. We received very warm behavior from him and his staff. The food served was delicious and had an ethnic touch to it. Infact, the vegetables in our food were organically grown in his garden and greenhouse. The rooms were aesthetically pleasing, spekless and warm. I also had a chance to meet Mr. Bhutia's dogs. At first, they were a bit alarmed but then then cozied up. Such cute and adorable puppies, I enjoyed the occasional time spent with them. However, you can't bring your pets here. This homestay is named after the Seven Mirror Lake beside it. The lake is on the premises of the Doling Monastery. It has thousands of fishes in it and the keepers of the monastery consider it holy and feed the fishes daily.

Very homely stay. The hosts never let you feel like they are running professional business. Only gripe, missing a few niceties like toiletries, kettle, bottled water etc.

Location Is quite secluded with a monastery and lake nearby few houses and mainly deep green jungle. Its just infront of kanchanjhangha

Room is very spacious with a separate sitting room and the entire cottage is full of natural light. From the bed Kanchanjhangha is visible through glass window

The resort is beautiful with few cottages and a sitting area. Large play area and greenery. Tea is complimentary all through.

Best is the host C Dorjee with whom I spent quite an amount of time talking and we were served amazing momos and Tanthuk in campfire setup.

The place is situated in a secluded area so it's an excellent place to relax, the fresh food was really delicious, the owner and his family is very humble and will help you in every way they can, the room was perfect with a beautiful view, the charges are so less and reasonable compared to the excellent service they provide.

It was a nice trip for us. The scenic beauty around the property was eye refreshing. We were looking for some place for relaxation and away from the crowd and chaos, this was the exact place for us. We enjoyed the mountain view from our rooms. !!
