Wonderful place for picnic. Perfect for one day weekend outing. Place is very much attractive and loveable to watch the beauty of river view. People gather here to spend time with friends and family members. Many foods stall are available here. Local people are too much dependable to river.

One of the best one day destination from Kolkata if anyone ask for suggestion. Far away from the pollution and population, a total contrast to city life. Fresh air, sound of waves, seeing ships passing by. There's number of hotels and lodge available as well for stay. Bike or Car ride would be best, otherwise travelling 33 Km from Bagnan in a narrow state highway is hectic

It was second time I was visiting the place - Rupnarayan Tourist Lodge, Gadiyara. They are always very warm to welcome. The beauty of the place is you can pass some leisure time here without booking room at it's park and drawing area. You can have lunch and breakfast and take rest during hot afternoon and spend your time by looking at the vast river along with different kind of boats and ships. Foods are good. The place is neat and clean.

Nice place to stay in govt resort which u can book by Bengal tourism website. For double room they r charging 2900 INR. This just beside the river , view is awesome and place is peaceful.

Place wise awesome but there has some secret facilities in Lodge.

Gadiara is a small town in Howrah District of West Bengal, India. In the 18th century, the British build a fort at this place to guard the entrance by the river against river pirates. However the fort is now in ruins. It is situated at the confluence of the Hoogly and Rupnarayan Rivers. A good place for a day’s outing.

Place was very good and calm. Good view and windy. There is a government tourist lodge and restaurant where you can have your lunch and also stay.

Very nice place for a day's out. Beautiful place where the two rivers Hooghly and Damodar meets. Toh could see the horizon on one side and distant land on the other two sides. Picnic spot are also present with adequate ammenities .

Awesome Place to chill out and there is a bazaar on crossing the river. Its costs only ₹10 for up down total. (₹5 each time ). So U may take it as a joy ride even.
