Idlis were so soft and the chutney was also good, full rustic atmosphere nostalgic, the main part which I liked was the Idli steaming set-up, one of the best I've seen in South India and lastly the pricing is so affordable, you get a full plate idli(6nos.) for just 20₹, amazing💥.It's similar to one near Mysore chamarajanagar road's Shivappa Idli.

One of the most authentic idly place in Kanakapura. Very genuine staff. Great Taste. Very pocket friendly. You get a plate of idly at ₹20 with 6 Idlis. The chutney is very spicy and adds the needed flavour to the idly. There is hardly any parking space here, so plan accordingly.

This is one of the Best Idly's I have ever tasted. For Just Rs 20 you get a plate of Idly and interesting thing is you get 6 idly's for a plate. so for just 20 bucks you can fill your tummy with some amazing taste. Softest idly paired with amazing Spicy chutney. Its just a mouth water experience. If you are taking Kanakpura road do head out to this 50 year old eatery and give a try. Everyone will start giving good reviews once they taste the yummy idli and chutney here... For 20 rupees you get 06 idlis.. The taste is damn good.. You feel like taking a parcel too..if you are visiting on weekend make sure u reach soon /early within 8 am... One more important thing.. You get 2 kote idli shops.. One at the eatrance/ corner of the road.. That is not original kote idli.. Just enter the road for another 50 mtrs and on the left side you will. Find this IDLY palace... Place Looks Messy and Ppl also bit untidy but yes the amount of work they do the whole day must appreciate their effort for serving yummylishious breakfast otherwise food cooked neatly n neat plates.... 20 rupees 6 idly n with yummy chutney worth it.....

Good place for a quick & pocket friendly breakfast.
Hot & soft idly along with spicy chutney(🌶🌶🌶) was awesome.
Bonda was super crispy outside and softer inside.
Poori and rice bath is also available.

Best idlies steamed traditionally on firewood. They serve 10 idlis at just Rs 30/-
Chutney was spicy and very tasty. They serve only idlies and no other food options.

Visited kote idli at kanakapura which is about 60kms drive from namma Bengaluru!

Since 1971 , This place has been serving idli and is famous among Localites of Kanakapura.

Unlike Bidadi thatte idli , even this place has few duplicate hotels near by and one might get decieved easily!

It's a complete visual treat to watch the making of Idli here , so authentic and traditional!
Hot piping Idlis are made by old style cooking method using wood fire , batter is poured on a large tray where at once around 50 idlis can be made.

Idli is genuinely soft and tomato onion chutney is mildly spicy and little tangy, makes it a good combo!
One can expect 'feel like home taste' basic , mild and simple! ♥

Pricing of the Idli is unbelievable!
A plate of idli is 20₹ in which you get 8 idlis , where in each idli costs you just 2.5₹

It's a must visit and recommended place for breakfast while you are traveling via Kanakapura.

8 Idlis for 20 INR is a joke...!!
IMO, I would rate this place higher than the Vasu Hotel on the main road. Reasons below.

1. Only thing on the menu is Idly Chutney, it will serve the purpose of a simple sumptuous breakfast, whereas Vasu has lost its sheen or the authenticity is on the wane.
2. You will still see people flocking Vasu, but the faces say a different story altogether.
3. 8 Idlis with that extra spicy chutney will fill your stomach without needing anything.
4. Idly Chutney is always lighter as it is steam cooked compared to oily Dosa and other things on offer at Vasu.

And now the Cons, rather state of things.
1. Weekends I'm sure considering social media posts on this place, will be chaotic.
2. Parking might become a mess, as the lane carrying it is narrow throughout. Suggest you park your cars far away.
3. No seating arrangements as it is more of a fast foodplace, though it can manage 5 to 6 people near the counter.
4. Small indoor area, it might need queuing up in the weekends.
5. Better to go on a relaxed Weekday.
6. In short, simple humble place with no facilities that you would expect.

Fluffiest idlis steamed /baked with firewood in an old rustic half century old setup.
ldlis are baked in huge moldplates lines with cloth which is good for health (most other idli places use plastic wrap as base lining which is carcinogenic.

alert : chutney can be super hot to handle for many but very very tasty

Single item menu though you may hope for uddina vade(Urd dal vada) if you reach early enough

Of you go in a vehicle. Find a parking near arkavathy theater road and walk down. Land is too small for cars

Visited this place after seeing Food lovers video in YouTube by Kripal Amman. Turned out to be perfect breakfast. Hot n soft idly's served with tasty chutney. 8 idly's for 20₹ which makes you aww. Must stop for breakfast if you are travelling on Kanakapura road.
Note : You will find another Kote idli in the entrance that's not the old one. You need to walk for 100mts to get this place

Must visit in kanakpoora, cheap and good taste specialy the chutney is next level flavour

Kote Idli Mane is like a time machine which lets you experience the simple life. All you get here is idlis with red chutney made using traditional means (wood-fired). A plate of 8 idlis cost just Rs 20 and we were surprised that we managed to finish them. The idlis are hot n soft with the chutney adding some spice to the mix. Would recommend carrying some butter cubes with you to add to this experience.

Expect this place to be crowded during weekends and don't mistake it for another small joint with same name at the beginning of the cross road. Just walk inside the lane to find this old house.

Its Nice, But exactly in Hotel road turning itself there is another hotel With the same Name copy, Don't get confused,The Main Hotel is further at 50 Mtr at the dead end left side.
