Entry fee of 25/- per head. Good spot for trekking beginners. Sad that only few visit Temples. Only Vulture Sanctuary in India. Buy couldn't see one. It was fun.

Beautiful place, easy Trek. About 400 steps to top point, last climb is bit adventurous. Entry opens at 9am since it’s a Vulture Sanctuary. The Place has got some rich history as it is seen Lord Ramachandra stayed in this very place for 3-4 years in his 14 years of exile. The place has Ekashila murthi of Rama with Sita, Lakshmana and Hanuma. It is also been told that Sugriva himself placed that murthi here while flying back to Kishkinda. Also the linga here was self placed and worshipped by Rama in his tenure of residence here. Please talk to Temple Poojari about all this when you go there. You will get real goosebumps when you hear about Saptha Rishi Mandala

Amazing trek experience. 400 steps in the beginning and later a pointed hill climb which is moderately challenging in normal weather and could be risky when it's raining. The Ram temple on top serves free lunch prasadam everyday a must try.

Went on a hike with my wife and daughter during the Diwali holiday. It was a good hike.

~ Sanctuary opens it's gate at 9am
~ There is a ticket counter at the entrance with a fee of 20 per adult and 10 per kid and with a nominal vehicle entry fee one may enter the sanctuary
~ If you are looking for a longer hike then start walking from this post and one of your teammates can drive your vehicle up to the parking space. Do not park the vehicles near the entry point as the local kids may damage them.
~ Washrooms are available near parking and also on top.
~ Do not have great expectations about sighting a lot of birds as it is a spread out area and the wait may be more
~ We did spot Rufous Treepie, lot of sunbirds and munias around with regular visitors like White Cheek Barbets, Green Barbets, Lotens, Bulbuls and so on..
~ Once you have made it to the end of steps you will find 3 trails. Don't take the left one - it's a dead end. One in front goes towards the Anjaneya temple it's a must to get the proper hike feeling and the stones are a bit slippery here and make sure you go to the end of the trail before heading back. Once you are back at the junction take the last trail towards the peak. The last stretch is a bit tricky as it is carved through the rock. There are railings to support and these are life saving tools at the point.
~ Enjoy the view of the thick vegetation under your feet! Make sure you take a look of all the sides from top. You can see a lot of familiar hills including Handi Gundi if you are a regular for hikes.
~ Once back near the parking do visit the information center which provides information about flora and fauna of the place.
~ Keep in mind there are no stalls to sell food & beverages.

It's a worthy hike near Bangalore. Enjoy!!

Amazing Place, it's one of the go to places for non experienced trekkers, takes roughly 1-1.5 hours to get to the top of the hill, and it was definitely a worthy trek :), there is also a big temple which comes around 300-400 meters before the top

Such a blissful place! The path to reach the top is heavenly, it is so calming and peaceful.
400 steps and around 800 meters of trek, you will find 2 temples in between and a small down trek from there will lead to Hanuman temple which holds history is 100 years.
Need to buy the ticket at the entrance for vehicle parking and for us. The place is maintained well and is surrounded by nature.
There are wash room facilities near the parking and in the mid way.
Though it is mentioned as vulture sanctuary, we didn't find any of them.
All in all, nature lovers are going to love this place.

Loved this place. The final climb to the top is quite an experience. Managed to spit the Indian vulture as well. The view from the top is absolutely gorgeous and well worth the hike. Do carry water with you though:)

Nice place for a half day outing.
No huge entry fees. Just 25 per person and 10 for bike parking.
Every weekend they have a prasadhan.
Very less crowd even on weekends.
It is easy to reach the top.
There are around 200-300 steps may be.

Awesome...
It's Sitaram temple. Best suits for the person with trekking interest cum devotion. Experience the bare foot trekking experience. It's literally temple, so I personally kept footwear bottom before taking stairs to hill top.

Awesome views,take binoculars if u r having.

This is well suited for family trek, make sure kids are above 7 years old.

Please take at least 1.5L water for adults to avoid dehydration.

Limited availability of snacks shop, please make sure you are carrying sufficient things.

No monkeys or wild animals 🙊, everybody safe!

Worth of spending 6 hours.. Jai Sitaram!!

The trek is beautiful👌🤩. Trek includes all things like climbing steps, mud trek, steep steps at the end of trek.
And temples of Lord Ram and Ishwara along with Hanuman can be visited. Good place to visit. You will enjoy the time there with family or friends 🤩😍.

Note : For Elders it will be difficult to climb the last steep steps.

Overall good experience ✌😃

Very nice temple on a small hillock. You have to climb around 400 steps to reach. They provide very nice and tasty Anna Prasad on weekends. You can continue to trek further from the temple to reach the peak from where the view is stunning. Overall the trek is easy to moderate and one needs to be careful at the last steep climb to reach the summit.
