Being recommended by local friend too, one of the best seafood restaurant in Makassar with fresh seafood available. Honest waitress that can recommend which fish or prawns that are fresh or just arrived. They will recommend specialty cook with the fish or prawns we choose.

A seafood chinese Restaurant in Makassar. Serving all kind of fresh seafood. The one i like the most is "Female Crab" that fully filled with eggs. The eggs is just like bursting out from the shell. Only can get in this Apong Restaurant.

The fish is so fresh as they were freshly delivered from the Jetty. Heard that this restaurant owner has his own fishing boat. I think thats the reason why the seafood here is so fresh.

This is a place that must visit when you come to Makassar. To all seafood lover. Come here and you ll die for it.

One of the must visits seafood place in Makassar. The seafood is fresh.

We ordered papakulu fish (grilled), ulu-ulu fish (fried), fried squid butter, hotplate kangkung), grilled shrimp. Everything is fresh and good. The chilli sauce is made with petis which gives a good taste.

Very good place to eat seafood, quite clean, although crowded, AC working well. You must try their Kudu2 fish theirs is very good. Other food also good. Their owner very attentive, looking at me holding my bag, she offer chair to put it. It is quite impossible to not have flies, when she see us waving, she immediately put her worker to get a candle. Very nice service.

One of the best chinese-style seafood restaurant in Makassar. The price is a bit on the steep side compared to any other seafood restaurant in town, but it is worth your every penny. The star of the show is "Crab Angsio" , and I highly recommend the "Fried Kudu Kudu Fish".

Great seafood, must try the crabs and fried kudu kudu fish fillet. If you're too lazy to mix the "sambal" you can just ask them for the pre-mixed one.

This is where I want to be to explore the famous seafood of Makassar. Visitors, you have to visit this place. Among all other seafood resto, I -with no doubt recommend Apong.
Open your culinary experince with Ota Ota, the famous grilled fish cake with special petis sauce.
Then try the Kudu-kudu fish fillet, the exotic fish of Sulawesi, also choices of griled whole fishes with Makassar special recipe : parape or rica.
You may be offered several weird fish name such as Papakulu, Titang, Baronang, not to mention Crabs with several spices : black pepper, oyster sauce, etc.
Dont forget to order Kangkung Hotplate, it is Kale cooked in hot plate topped with squid, quail's egg, shrimp with very delicious condensed soup.
I'm running out of time if I continue my explanation about this place.
My only advice, just pack your things and go to Makassar and please stop by at Apong either lunch or dinner time. You wont regret it!

When in Makassar, we cannot miss their seafood! One of the recommended seafood restaurant in Makassar that serves fresh and delicious seafood is Rumah Makan Seafood Apong. This is a Chinese food restaurant with seafood as their speciality. At their branch in Diponegoro Street, they provide private room on the second floor. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they give the "X" sign in some chairs, so that people cannot sit next to each other.

They provide variant of seafood dishes, from the mussel, fish, shrimp, crab, squid, also non seafood menu, such as satay and vegetables. Eating this seafood is suitable for sharing. And the best way is definitely eating them with rice 😃

My recommendation menu :
- Kepiting Saus Padang
- Ikan Kudu-Kudu Fillet (the appearance of the fish face may look scary, but believe me that the taste of the boneless fried fish along with the soft texture are so good! This is Makassar speciality fish)
- Cumi-Cumi Bakar Hitam
