In the heart of Ubud, this palace has multiple entrances. The front door is right next to a gelato place and is a prime shuttle bus stop/ taxi stop. The entry is free, and the palace has some beautiful picture spots, iconic traditional Balinese architecture with the large archways and indoor sitting area. Also, there are dance performances every evening, apparently for 100k for 2 people. It is walking distance from the Saraswati temple, and the Ubud Market and boasts of a lively place drawing crowds.

You can visit this one during the day very quickly if you are on a hurry. It’s small and the entry is free! Oh! You can watch one of the night performances (100k for 1.5 hour show) which may be too long but it was a fun thing to do - I recommend! They happen every night at 19:30 and you can get a ticket on the door! Get there at least 30’ early to get a good seat!

I was there in the morning with my friend and was almost alone. The atmosphere was so calm and very special. We felt as if at any moment one of the doors would open and we would meet people from years ago dressed in traditional Balinese clothing who would smile at us and greet us with a smile and a greeting: Selamat pagi 🙏

If you are in Ubud, definitely go for a walk... preferably in the early morning hours

Absolutely stunningly beautiful palace that you must visit when you come to Ubud.
There is no entry fee. I would recommend going early or later in the day to avoid the crowds. It can take a little while to get good photos here when it is crowded.
The Balinese architecture style is strongly represented, and the stately sculptures and structures are great backdrops for photos, or make unique subjects for the avid photographer.
We spent about 45 minutes wandering around the palace grounds, which is plenty of time to see everything.

An exquisitely stunning palace adorned with remarkable stone carvings stands as a splendid showcase of traditional Balinese architecture. Entry is granted without any admission fee, allowing visitors to simply stroll in. Despite its modest size, the palace offers a comprehensive view, and during our visit lasting approximately 15 minutes, we had the opportunity to appreciate all its attractions.

Good architecture. A little bit tricky to find the main gate since there are no signs. No entrance fee but I didn't know if alot of areas were closed at that time we went there or it is not really possible for tourist to enter alot of areas.

Went there for the watching the legong dance event and it was housefull. The cultural dance , costumes, classical Balinese musical instruments and the crowd was amazing. It is organized all days of week and the ticket are around 500 INR.

Lovely place to visit. The palace is well maintained and you get to see only a portion of it. Needs about 20/30 mins. We attended the 7.30 pm dance show which was really fun. It's in the heart of UBUD, so you can walk around the palace, shop, eat etc.

Primarily a Courtyard walled (former Royal) homestead with traditionally separated spaces in an open air setting for dining, entertainment, eating, sleeping, etc. Largely open for tourist viewing but a few areas are locked off & restricted. No charge for admission.

Beautiful palace complex in the heart of Ubud. Lots of history and great photo opportunities. Free to enter. The only downside is the hoards of instagramers taking hours posing in front of sacred statues etc.

The Ubud Palace is situated at the centre of Ubud near the Ubud Market and other tourist spots.

You can finish visiting Ubud Palace in about 40 mins as its not very large. There is a Legong Dance performance ay 7.30pm which are would be able to buy tickets on the spot.

There is a hotel within the palace. To enter, go to the ticketing booth and ask for the door to access the hotel. See picture for the door that we used. Overall, it was a cool experience to stay inside the palace of Ubud, of which many locals do not know about.

The Ubud Palace is in the center of town and is free to enter. It is worth the visit especially if you are already in the center. It does not take a lot of time to see the palace. It took us less than 30 minutes.

Historically rich Balinese temple in the downtown of Ubud. Without further explanation it already shows how intricate and well-thought the palace was built. So full of culture and great traditional art. The complex is quite spacious with various corners to take pictures, or simply admire them from distance.

And the great news is it's free entrance! Better to visit during weekdays as it could be quite crowded during weekend! No need tour guide as this mesmerizing place speaks for itself...

A really beautiful palace with amazing stone carvings. It's a great way to see some traditional Balinese architecture. There was no entrance fee so you just walk in. It's not very big though. I think we were there for about 15 minutes and saw everything.
