Thermal Lake of Hévíz

I went during winter time and what a beautiful place to visit during this season! The lake is absolutely stunning and really big with lots of open space to swim.

Theres an indoor swimming area where the water is super warm and there are water massage points inside but I dont think its really worth it, especially if the waiting line is long.

You can swim to the outside area where the water was definitely a lot colder (considering i went during winter time) but still 100% worth it!

Obs: The water temperature inside was 33 degrees celsius and outside was 27 degrees celsius (felt a bit colder though).

Great place to spend some time in thermal Lake which gives some power and health to the body. Plenty of space to swim. Water lilies looking nice. Massage places. All very well organized to enjoy time.

One of the best places to visit in Hungary and nearby Lake Balaton. It’s pretty easy to visit as buses are frequent from many places especially Keszthely. The price is affordable and make sure bring cash with you in case you need to rent the swimming ring.

This is a lovely thermal lake which also is huge. Everyone gets an armband that also gives you a personal locker for your belongings. Note that you can not pick any locker you have to blip the armband at the screen when entering the locker room and then you are assigned a locker.
I recommend going around the lake to the "relax" section where there are a lot fewer people and a much more calm setting. The lake is quite warm so do not expect to get cooled down on a warm summer day.

Wonderful place, you can relax in the park on a sunbed and take some thermal baths in the lake (deep water) or in the pool. In mid augist, felt water temp was about 32 C (they said 36 but didn't felt that warm) and outside 30 C - just perfect!

Entrance fee is 4500 Ft (~12 euros) for 3 hrs. If you need a floater in order to relax in the lake, you can rent one for 700 Ft (+2000 cash deposit) but you can do without if you can swim.

English is spoken at the kassa (cashdesk).

A must see in Hungary, once in a lifetime experience. Warm lake surrounded by trees and one can swim between water lilies. Got to rent/bring a floatation ring, lake is deep.

Honestly I thought this place was going to be crowded and gross. But was pleasantly surprised with how big and spacious the water was. The water is nice and calming. You can go to different parts with deep depth, sulfur baths etc. Pricing depends on how long you want to stay. Can make a whole day of it. Spend a lot of time on the beach chairs. There are some random exercise equipment scattered around the edges of the grounds. Recommend wearing sandals in the common area. You get a bracket that tracks you while there and also let’s you put of the turn style when you exit when you return it.

Big lake with hot water, very nice place to relax. Relax zone, swimming pool for kids, playground, restaurant, etc.

Great place for relaxation. It is very nice to swim in the lake in the first day of winter. Very cool. Stuff is very polite and prices are ok but for 2 last hours before closing could be lower prices. You have welness and spa but you have to come earlier to have enough time to chill and relax. Water is good and healthy but it hard to swim for a long time. You have massage showers inside and water is warmer than outside. It was a good experience. Recommend.

Nice place to relax and spend time with friends or family. We were 2h and for us it was enough time but definitely you can spend all day there and just chill.

The thermal Lake of Heviz is unique in its essence, and has a special therapeutical effect on people health, it contains essential minerals and chemical composition which relax and comfort different muscle and joint problems. Uniqe swiming in an inviting lake with warm water all year round. I loved swimming in it in April. The water inside is much warmer but more crowded as well so its nicer to spend time outside. The bulidings are attractive, well maintained, clean.

This is a must if you get nearby Hévíz in Hungary, because it is so very special, that you probably never will experience the like again. The pond looks like a small ordinary lake, but is thermally connected to hot water underground. It is about 30 degree Celsius the year around, and smells a bit from the sulphur the water brings up. After swimming, you can enjoy a Törley “Champagne”, cheers.

A big, warm, natural lake with special trees around it. There is a very old, unseeable vulcan under it, beneath the surface and the upper rocks that produces the hot water of the lake. The most special place in Hungary, and my favorite one beside lake Balaton. From autoumn to spring come to Hévíz, in the summer go to Lake Balaton and to the Visegrád and Szob part of the Danube ( Duna) river.

Top spot to visit in your Hungary’s holiday. Great experience. Entry tickets at least for 3 hours. Lot of green area to rest. Free beds.

The level of services offering meals went rapidly down during last 2 years. There is problem to get a hot tea.

Very pleasent place, it's the main attraction of Heviz. The largest thermal lake in Europe, the second in the world. Worth visiting.

Nice place, Water was warm, Food was Good.

This is the biggest thermal lake in the world, in which you can swim. The infrastructure is covering everything you need, the spa is literally built on the top of the lake.
You can buy a daily ticket, or even for 3-4 hours. Given that the hot water can be pretty exhausting, it is understandable.
There are lockers inside, opened/closed with your electronic bracelet, so you can keep your belongings safe.
On the lake, there is always a lifeguard in a boat, looking after the people.
The water is warm, even in winter, of course, don't expect 36-38 Celsius, but around 28-30.
The whole place is a miracle, if you have a few days, definitely good to be spent here.
